Which is stronger and better for the reduction of nose diving with added on weight from winch and other accessories to the front end? EMU is 33mm stock OEM bar is 36mm, but which one is a stiffer control against forward dipping during breaking? anyone know the answer please ?

a sway bar doesn't really help with nose dive

what about during turns with added weight of winch and mounting plate? is one or other a better option, have greater rigidity?

on turns the sway bar will try to keep the body level typically the bigger the better for cornering

What are you referring to with “emu”? Not a term i am familiar with. The thicker diameter will always offer a greater stability over the smaller one. You also have to factor in all of the other suspension parts into the equation.

reviewed the video, good info, unfortunately HOTCHKISS doesn't have any sway bars for anything after 2018. will research more on if OEM and EMU are solids or hallow then go from there. Thank you again!

This is a thread from www.Ford-Trucks.com Oct 20 2014, So the confusion is greater, lol contradict what the previous video shows for Hotchkiss. In that i guess i'll just leave it alone :)

The diameter of a sway bar is the first thing that will get changed from the aftermarket. The thicker the bar, the more stiff it is just as it is with a torsion bar. Essentially, that is exactly what a sway bar is: a torsion bar for roll control. Now, where this can differentiate is if the bar is hollow or not. A 26 mm solid bar will most likely be stiffer than a 26 mm hollow bar, for example.

???????????????????????????????

Another factor is the length of the arm of the sway bar. In race cars you see this in the splined arm at the ends of the sway bar. Your OEM sway bars and aftermarket bars built to fit in the OEM position also have “arms”, though they are made into the shape of the sway bar.

Wasn’t advocating any product just a video to help explain it for you. I hope it helped

And as to your original question, the stabar or sway bar helps more with body roll not front end dip under hard braking. The suspension that comes with your vehicle or any upgraded suspension you add will be the primary factor in how the front end reacts under braking.
