I recently installed some Suma Performance mirrors... and wow...huge improvement.

One of my biggest complaints with the Bronco is the driver's side mirror has a very narrow field of view, and honestly I feel blind on my driver's side. Don't like the feeling at all. These mirrors have a MUCH wider field of view. It does take some getting used to, but once you do... WOW... big visibility improvement.

The only downside I've noticed is the "white" mirrors aren't quite as clear as the factory mirrors. It's hard to explain, but it almost like they applied a smoked finish on the mirror, though I assume it is actually the anti-glare coating. It won't be a big deal for most people, but if you have already tinted your driver/passenger windows beyond the factory tint, just something to be aware of. In certain lighting conditions I suspect those mirrors will definitely be on the dark side.

Links below. And they're also available for the Bronco Sport!!

My question is about the blind spot indicator.... that comes with the High/Lux. It is an orange light indicator that traffic is in the blind spot that appears in the upper left corner of the mirror (on driver's side ) or upper right corner (on passenger side) of the mirror. does it show up through these mirrors?

Thank you... had not watched the vid yet... been busy with a few mods I am currently working on. The mirrors look like they would be a vast improvment.

I’m not interested until they get rid of the tint. Like you said, I added tinted windows and these would be hard to use at night.

OMG that whole over achieving section was cracking me up.
I literally did a spit take when you tried to stick the magnet to the door. Yes only the back panel is a light weight "stronger" steel then the rest of the panels, those would be aluminum or plastic. Ford did that to save some $$$

Funny, sheet aluminum costs me more than sheet steel right now. But they are using different alloys of each so maybe the steel is costing them more. I thought they chose it because of the properties but... I would not know.

Sorry, to clarify, They are using the aluminum to save weight they made the rear quarters out of a light weight super strong steel for strength, that was cheaper than a stronger aluminum panel. At least that’s how I understand it.

Nice. I always thought the field of view in the drivers side mirror was too small.

I’m thinking the factory mirrors are fine. If people learn how to properly adjust them and use them that would help.

Now let’s talk about turn signal usage…

If you go to the link there is an option for defroster and BLIS

Stock mirrors are perfectly fine if you set them up correctly - i.e., you shouldn't be able to see the side of your own vehicle in the mirror. You don't need the extra wide-angle mirror that the base Broncos get, and you certainly don't need to be spending money and time "upgrading" with aftermarket mirrors.

I see BLIS as simply a supplementary layer of safety. It shouldn't replace visual confirmation of lane clearance (which again, is easy if you set up your mirrors correctly). It's just an additional alert, which might be useful because we're human and sometimes space out while driving.

Oh I definitely wouldn't call these mirrors required by any stretch. The factory mirror are really all you need.

But I personally like these guys MUCH more than stock. Maybe it's because I spent a good portion of my life driving trucks with wide-angles... maybe it's something else, who knows. But these are great for me.

I do agree regarding mirror adjustment, a lot of people have their mirrors setup incorrectly, some have half of their side mirror filled with the side of their vehicle. Nuts, but whatever. And yes, even Ford will tell you BLIS is a supplemental safety feature. For me, my brain just ignores the little BLIS light regardless. But that's a "me" problem.

I'll admit that the little BLIS light is kind of easy to tune out, but I've only had the truck less than a week and am trying to train myself to notice it more. In any case, it doesn't bother me at all.
