Those of you that live where there's considerable snow, road salt, sand, etc... Do you take off your rear tire cover in the winter so it doesn't collect and keep the crud all over your spare?
I have had tire covers on my two Jeeps and Bronco. They are made from a durable denim/vinyl material. The Jeeps had the same cover for 12 years and 14 years. The Bronco is only 3 years so far. They all kept/keep the tire clean. Knock on wood never had a flat yet. I live in Michigan, so yes we get a lot of salt spray. The covers clean up easily with some soap and water, look good. The tire gets some dust on it, but nothing you can't clean with a good damp towel. I have the Boomerang Oscar Mike StarFlag on the Bronco. They cost a bit more but have never had to replace them on 3 different vehicles in 22 years of combined use. My 2¢.

I have tire covers on my jeep and they always kept my spare wheel and tire clean and protected. I just bought this for the Bronco for winter and trail rides. I was blown away how much crap sticks to the back of the Bronco when off road.
