I searched and didn't find anything. Are there any other manufacturers that make something like this that has a storage container and other mounting for items.? Would be cool to see something like this with some rotopax mounts on the sides for some liquid storage.

Those sidewall patches seem pretty nice after watching the videos... I will be getting a kit. And yes... carry plugs as well. Just not convinced yet I can carry a 40 inch spare. I know there are some options. Just not completely sold on any of them as of yet, while I am trying to figure out additional gas cans.

Yeah, coming from an F-150 and a 36 gallon tank, I have to really look for space and what is necessary for gear. On the truck, I had the 35 inch spare tucked into the factory location, and then on occasion I threw a second one in the back and strapped it underneath a large DeWalt lockable chest with all sorts of crap in it.

I am leaning towards the spare tire rack thing that can hold a couple 2 gallon rotopax cans on it.

I bring both plugs and patches along with a spare. A lot depends on where you're wheeling, what your experience is, and what the difficulty of the trail is. All covered above. BTW, those patches are GREAT for cuts the size of the knife that guy uses in the video. If they re longer, it gets a bit dicey. But, still, they can get you off the current obstacle at the very least. Which brings up another point. If you're on a hairy obstacle, and you get a flat, that's probably not the best spot/time to try and swap out the tire for the spare. So having plugs and patches in addition to a spare might be useful.

That actually make some decent sidewall repair kits. I do not have one, but seen several YouTube videos of them being used on Bronco's. I have a puncture repair kit, but that only plugs a nail (or similar type) hole.

Haha, the debate can go on and on! 😁
I would never try to tell someone how they should prepare for the trail or a drive to the Dairy Queen. That’s their business. I was just trying to make the point that nothing can guarantee the vehicle makes it back without issue.

But on the other hand if I take off spare tire it’s conveyed as being a total idiot by some folks.

Maybe there are plenty of people that do bring 2 spares with them. I say 👍.

Not sure if I'm missing something but why would anyone ever REMOVE their full size spare then try and figure out what the best emergency measure they can do to replace it? What is the upside to removing your factory full size spare?

because a 40 inch spare does not fit really well in the stock location and blocks ANY view out the back it is way way heavy, and could possibly cause damage to the tailgate (even with a nice heavy duty support) and it physically now can catch on rocks and overhangs caving in the tail gate...... There valid are reasons...

Let me help.
Removing 100 pound off Ford’s flimsy tailgate. (Sasquatch) does this:
Better rear view.
Able to use bike racks without extension.
Easier tailgate operation.
Less stress on tailgate hinges.
More space in garage.
Increase vehicle payload.
Easier to clean.
Lower center of gravity.
Shorter stopping distance.
Quicker acceleration.
Easier to park.
Increased fuel efficiency.
Increase off-road ability.
Style uniqueness.
Ability to mount a wide variety of accessories.
Less noise from tailgate.
Increased trailer tongue weight capacity.
No tire cover needed.
No jack required.
???

It’s not a permanent modification.
