Having Paint / Wrap Sourcing Issues

Hey fam - new Bronco OBX owner here. I’m having a hard time finding a shop to paint or wrap my hard top and fenders. The first two shops I spoke to didn’t want to do it because of the plastic and texture finish.

One paint shop never offered to sand it down to paint, so it wasn’t a good fit.

One wrap shop said the wrap wouldn’t stick to the texture surface long.

Thanks for the help. First time bronco owner and don’t have much experience getting mods done. We live in a small town so there aren’t a ton of shops to choose froM.

What’s the best way to approach these shops to get this painted or wrapped? Do I need to sand it? Can I paint it on my own?

I have been told from a couple shops, that the wrap will not work because of the texture.
The best result will be sanded smooth and painted.
The Ford garage in Utah painted mine and they did not sand it 100% smooth. It came out nice but the guy who put on my paint protection film said the PPF would not work well with the top texture. So I only protected the body paint. KIMG0071.JPG

Time will tell how well it will hold up.

I know each (paint & wrap) have been done but if you are unsuccessful finding a source in your area perhaps try a shop that specializes in bed liner. That $hit sticks to anything and is durable as fcuk!

Where are you? ACW in Atlanta would be my choice if you’re near there. Or CGS vinyl in Pelham, Alabama. They wrapped a black raptor recently for TCCustoms and you can see it on their YouTube.

Try Doetsch Off-Road. They did a nice build featured on the Bronco6G page which included a color change and a painted top.
