Bike Racks

Hi - Would anyone be able to recommend a bike rack for the 2022 Ford Bronco which do NOT go over the tire and would still allow access to the trunk/tailgate extension? I've linked a photo below to show the type of rack I'm looking for. I installed the required tow hitch and initially purchased a Kuat 2.0 bike hitch with the Kuat Pivot swing away extension only to be told the extension was too short (14 inches versus 18) - unfortunately Kuat only produces the swing extensions in one size.

I'm back to square one in researching options and hesitant to make another purchase until I have feedback from someone who has successfully installed a similar rack (luckily the initial Kuat rack is returnable but not the extension and I don't want to risk wrong size again). Thank you!

Hi Sarah. Not sure why the Kuat 2.0 wouldn't work on your Bronco. It's what I was planning on getting. A couple of us were just talking about it in this thread. https://thebronconation.com/accessories-n.136/swing-out-hitch-mount-extender-t.10856/#post-159490

Bronco's are not very bike rack friendly. I'm at the point now from farting around with my bike rack too getting this spare tire to lead option. I have a one foot extension from princess auto which allows me to open the rear gate enough to get stuff in and out.

I have the Kuat Pivot v2 on my Wildtrak. Works perfectly, no clearance issue or additional extensions.

I can also attest to the Kuat Pivot v2 on a Wildtrak. It works great.

Hey Sara,
Take a look at the Velocirax line. They hold your bikes vertically, will take any wheel size, come in three, five, or seven bike capable models, will, using hydraulics, lower to allow easy loading/removal, and allow you access to the back storage in your Bronco, plus so much more. Have a look at the link below...

Hoping to pick up a Kuat Pivot V2 during Black Friday or Cyber Monday sales. If anyone happens to see them go on sale, please post here. Much appreciated!
