I have hated the carpet in my 2023 Big Bend ever since I bought the vehicle in March 2023. I wanted one of the "fancier" models with the rubber floor. However, there was still a relative shortage of choices back then. In fact, the dealer had a $10k market price stuck on. I told them before we begin you need to remove that because I'm retired with plenty of time and could take my entire family and fly anywhere in the country for at the very least MSRP pricing.
Anyway, Armorlite offers military discount and they also had a Memorial Day discount. However, you are limited to one discount not both.
It arrived very quickly and this past Friday I began the install. First I disconnected the battery and used a rag to make sure of no contact. Then I mowed the yard. That took a lot longer than the 10 minutes Armorlite suggests to allow for the safe removal of the seats (because of the air bags). The instructions are pretty clear and nice photos but Armorlite is chinzy with some advice. Like they will tell you to use 13mm socket to remove the seats but later they will tell your remove the 4 bolts that hold the center console to the floor as 8mm but I had to use a 7mm. 13mm socket to remove the bolts and nuts holding the rear seat legs down. The rear seat is only folded UP and seat belts hold it out of your way.
Removing the door trim was easy enough. Good instructions on that maneuver. Once all the trim is out of the way you make a 3 cuts in your carpet. Well, 5 because I couldn't easily remove two rear seat sensors.
The flooring is manageable but awkward by yourself. Once I had it lined up. I put the plugs in and then all of the trim pieces back. Then the drivers seat and passenger seat. After that the rear seat legs were reattached. The dang rear seat foot trim would not go back in so I ended up zip tying them in place for now.
