Dash Poncho is so, so good

I have tried a bunch of tarps for quick covers, bought a heavy duty cover but they all have the same issue. Too slow to install and they all will hold 100 gallons of water due to the open roll cage as you all know.

We run with doors and top off most of the summer unless we road trip. The marine vinyl, rubber floors and drains make leaving the top off easy and it dries quick.

However I get concerned with my dash electronics and large lcd screen getting too wet too many times. This thing keeps the water out of the dash sides and my manual transmission. My wife got tired of my blue tarps so I broke down and got the Dash Ponch and it’s amazing.

Quick install and high quality from JFTops.com.

This thing is a life saver and a bargain ,folds up small and easy.

Buy this. You will not regret it.

I was unaware a product like this existed - it certainly provides a solution! Good find and thanks for sharing.

I'd never seen something like this either.

I'd never leave mine completely open in the rain like that, but I don't have MGV seats or the rubber floor either.
And I know the dash is "supposed" to be able to take it, with the rubberized buttons & such, but yeah, I wouldn't trust it either.

Cool solution for those of you who brave the elements like this

That is nice, good find. I noticed your visors are down. We were rolling top off this spring (10% chance of rain) stopped at a shop and the sky opened up on us for about 2 minutes typical Texas spring downpour. we have the Bronco Bikini waterproof bimini top but it doesn't seal off the visors area 100%. We had no idea and left the visors up those visors will fill with water and drip on you until they fully dry out. the next day it was still dripping on me.
BN 1100, Desert Sand Everglades. Reservation 7/30/20. ordered 1/22/21, reordered 10/15/21 dropped tow and hard top, reordered 3/9/22 changed to Everglades. production date 9/7/22 rescheduled 9/14/22 completed 9/26/22, shipped 10/7/22, arrived 10/31/22, delivered 11/03/22

As someone who rolled 24/7 with my top off in the PNW (read: rain, rain and more rain) I used a canvas bikini from Dan ( https://broncobikini.com/ ) that let very little water in by the dash area.

I also carried a large beach towel behind the back seat. The towel served a few purposes. 1) I could use it to wipe up any drink spills, wipe my hands off when getting them dirty when off-roading or working on the Bronco and 3) toss it on the dash when parked in the wet stuff for short periods of time..

If parked for any extended period of time while outside in the wet stuff, just park at a slope or at an angle (mall crawl a curb stop) where the water would flow away from the from dash area. I'd toss that large beach towel on the dash and let it hang down over the screen areas to sop up any water that might drop through the front area of bikini..

When out on camping and off-road trip I'd bring a cover. Something like a Broncover or a RainGear cover so if it rained overnight I'd have more protection.

That worked well for me and I never really had any issues.. I do have a Badlands with rubberized flooring and vinyl seats and I honestly couldn't care less if they get wet..

My sunvisors both were totally fully like camel backs. I guess it goes in through the mirror and sits in the back. I used a red hot metal point and added weep holes to the visors and the over head console, windshield trim and light switches.

Yeah I figured they fill up at the vanity mirror. I was surprised how much water those things can hold.
