I had been waiting for these puppies that were due to go live on 3 March 2023--just happened to check earlier and they were available. Snagged them with a Ford Accessories website discount for $110.50 + $7.95 shipping for $126.45 total. A very well thought out kit, well designed, made, and even the color instructions are awesome. Nicely done Ford Performance! They work very smoothly and lift the hood a full 8 inches higher than stock with the prop rod--which I left installed cause it ain't hurting nothing. Install is very straight forward although getting the fender bolt out and reinstalled with the lower bracket requires the right 13mm socket wrench and steady hands to not drop the bolt in the fender well š Old rags stuffed in the gap help prevent this.

The actual Ford Performance website generally works as expected and has lots of fun stuff to peruseā¦
Thanks for the info, another thing that should come stock.
Maybe, except that Iāll bet 90% of Bronco owners never open their hood, except to add blinker fluid

I ended up ordering the hood lift kit through Ford Performance last night. I accessed the page from a different source and it didn't bark at me. It didn't see my vehicle as being a bad match.
I was able to use some leftover Ford Pass points and got it for roughly $90 including shipping. Yay! :)
Here's the rub: I've got to watch exactly how I position my Bronco in my parking space at home. It turns out that if I'm not careful, it can hit pipes running over my car in the parking garage. Those extra 8" of hood travel can be an issue!

What is the best way to lift the hood high enough to install the struts?

For my install I propped the hood with factory rod, installed all hardware, and then held hood up while popping struts onto hardware⦠the only thing I did wrong was getting āford performance ā decal facing in rather than out⦠doesnāt effect function, just cuts down on Ford advertisingā¦

Thanks. Guess you need to hold the hood, release the prop rod and then install the struts onto the hood. Sounds like it might be easier with two people!

For the final āpopā on each side a second helper would certainly ease the processā¦
