Dune Flag location/mount?

Trail sight mount from Bronco Graveyard is the one I purchased. Do you have recommendations on what whip flag and QD mount to purchase?

I purchased mine from a local 4x4 off road shop. When we were at a local off road park they had a vendor on site to sell them to you. The flag I purchased had the correct Mount to attach to the bracket.

Headed to Bronco Safari in May. I'm sure there will be plenty of vendors willing to take my money. Was just looking to get ahead of what I could and didn't know if there was a brand that people preferred. Thanks for reply!

You do need a special torx+ bit to attach it to the Bronco. I had to borrow one from a local Bronco to attach it to my Bronco. I think it was a 26 or 27??? If that helps.

Thinking ahead here, and wondering how/where folks mount the mandatory flags on their rigs? Mostly looking for

1. Easy on and off
2. preventing body/paint scratches

Many sand dunes require a front mount flag. The setup that I went with is:

Chaos Concept - Billet Flag Mount for the Modular Bumper. It bolts directly to the end of the wing at the end of the bumper. https://www.kidchaosconcepts.com/product-page/6th-gen-bronco-billet-flag-mount

Handy Flag - Nice foldable orange bronco flag in a case. https://www.handyflag.com/kits

The handy flag comes with a stainless steel quick connect mounting stud that screws right into the Flag mount on the bumper.

5 minute install. Clean look. I do not think it will hit bumper, but I may cut a section of pool noodle just in case.

For most ORV sites that require a flag, it must be mounted on the front, not back. Here is a picture of a bracket I made up.

You really don't notice it after while plus you normally don't actually see the orange flag because it's higher than your normal line of site.

If you remove the end cap on that bumper. There is a hole right there. But I like ur idea, considering it doesn't require the extra time to remove the end cap.

They can be mounted anywhere in the Oregon Dunes as long as they are 9 ft above the ground.

I got my collapsible dune flag from Handy Flag and the mount from Flag Mount. Both are extraordinarily flawless products.

I love both. I also took the completely unnecessary step of having the mount powder-coated to match the sight guide.



I also wanted the flag to be hoisted from the FRONT of my Bronco, so I'd give folks on the other side of the dune advance notice of my approach.

Thanks! Yeah, I think the piece looks more "finished" with some paint on it. BUT, it's unnecessary because it's already stainless steel, so it shouldn't be prone to rust. I'm known for overdoing things. 😝

I was going to bolt mine back on the newer Bronco but it's so blacked out that it'll stick out. I've been thinking about doing this!
