I searched the forums but couldn't find any mention of mods related to engine bay lighting options. F150LEDs offers am automatic Engine Bay LED Lighting Kit and I may go this route but wanted to see if other options may be better.

I have always found a portable/moveable light is best. On my old 95 GMC Suburban they had a small treble light on a cord that you could pull out and attach with a magnet in the area you needed it. When you were finished you could wind it back into the container.

That's a terrible idea, when do we start?

Personally, I find a headlamp to be allI need while working under the hood.

I have the KC Cyclone kit - haven't installed yet. I also picked up a 12v magnetic reed switch since I don't want to have a rocker or toggle switch to remember and I didn't want to use a gravity switch since off road it could cause it to just arbitrarily turn on.

I installed the F150LED kit and absolutely love it. It lights the entire engine bay up and tucks up nicely on the hood. The only problem that I encountered with the kit is that the hood switch was to tall and bent the first time I closed the hood. I increased the mounting screw length and added a stack of washers until the drop down was correct. Simple minor fix.
I will post some pics later.

Be interested to see those pics of you work around, the hood switch was my concern with the F150LED. KC Cyclone looking to be plan B after looking over current options on a fixed setup in the engine bay.

Yah a lot of options. I thought of wiring to one of my aux switches. I know it’s only hot when enabled by ignition system but you can pretty much always be sure they are on or off when you want. It’s not like you need the lights very often. Gives me a reason to use my third aux switch.😀

Any solution for underhood lighting beats what the factory offers, which is absolutely nothing. I can never get enough lighting. Cabin and undercarriage lighting would be equally welcome as I always strain to see what I'm doing in/with/around my Bronco. Thank goodness I have the puddle lighting. It offers scant but appreciable illumination.
