....on Amazon and it fits perfectly in the center dash top cubby. After initializing which is done in just seconds, it is good to go. By the time all the fees were figured it was sixty dollars and change. Works perfect in the cubby and fits tight enough to not move around or have rattles. it worked on the steering wheel controls with great, volume, was clear.... really, no complaints..

Not knocking your unit, but why didn't you take the CD's copy them to your computer, make sure they are mp3 files and load them to a USB stick. Then you don't have to contend with all the CD's sliding around in you truck.

Well it's because I am not savy with the mp3 things and also because I have a breifcase CD holder with roughly 150 different CD's . Mostly new at that. And @ 10.00 + each and some in the 15-20 dollar range, it seems the logical way in my circumstance.
The post is a picture of the unit....

I hesitate bringing more information about the specifics as it cost me being Banned on the Bronco Sport Forum..... for .....'spam'

Thank you Ms Laura, and your patience Sojourjner you kind of put me in a pickle. Darn'd if I do, darned if I dont... know what I mean....! So here you are. It is working splendidly of course... and it looks quality too. and yes Foxtrot Bavo, it is only one disc at a time. Guys, for he price it's nearly throw-away.... Time will tell, but I use it every time I go anywhere which in my circumstance is only about three or so times a week for an hour or two a trip. MIGeezer..... I wish I had the savy or drive to learn the method to the madness of todays modern wonders, but time has dulled my interest of such conveniences and apparatuses. As I had volunteered in other posts, my Daughter is Service manager for our local Ford dealership and gladly helps along fumbling Dad....lol... and I appreciate it enormously. So maybe I will seek instruction....huh,........................... I get a call as we speak to go chase a part down in Indian Trail Ford...... got'a go.... someone is in need

I almost pulled the trigger on one (because this would be perfect for the frau as she's driving about in the Badlands), but then I canceled my order.

Why? B/c I'm in a quandary. A known problem in the Internet of Things (IOT) world is the increasing prevalence of malicious firmware. So, using this item as an example, malicious code would enter the BS system and potentially make its way to my computer (and my personal data) via USB, phone, etc.

I realize the chances of this are remote. And it could even happen at the Ford dealership if something infected was plugged into my system. So I'm not saying this unit (or anything along these lines) is a problem. But it could be.

And here's where the problem lies: there is no way to check/inspect (especially since most IOT devices use unsigned drivers).

I know a bit about this sort of vulnerability b/c I used to work in area that dealt with this sort of stuff back when I was in the military. But that was a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.

Any computer geeks here at BroncoNation to set me/the record straight? B/c I would really like to buy one of these units.... :fingers crossed:

Ahhhhh, you make a good point indeed... when I got it We plugged in the usb then it took about 30-45 seconds to initalize and then in 'audio' it showed a sort of trident looking symbol which came in when 'source' was tapped. I tapped full fingerprint and the CD played. From then on I simply tapped 'audio and source and selected my AM/FM/CD choice. I know this doesn't address your concern, but that is what to expect initally on the first opperation. Your concern is reasonable however, I had never gave it much thought in that refference.

Hmmm... So that means I can NEVER be banned? Since I'm legit? ๐Ÿ˜

BTW, @Plotus, ripping cd's to MP3 is really simple. I haven't had a cd in probably, idk, 15-20 years now. Everything is digital and on my phone. Makes life so much easier as I'm real specific about what I listen to. 95% - 80's Metal!

Ok...... now with Bug deflector, window vents, rubber weather mats, rear bumper guard and the said CD player, my future plans are for a Ham radio. Under the glove box-ish or perhaps the cargo area, or instead a hand held or mountable two liter radio, even mabe a CB...... One of them, leaning towards the two liter. The rest is pretty much done.......oh also sheepskin custom fit covers..... then just drive and visit friends. At seventy two since the eleventh of this month, time is valuable and becoming more-so as friends and family depart for ................................well, you know..:)

150 CD's? You could put all that music onto a single thumb drive and have access to it all at one time.
I understand you don't know how to do that or have the equipment to do it. But there is tremendous value in finding someone local who could do that for you, even if it costs just a few dollars. I went through 100 CD's my wife had and stuck them all onto an 8gig USB drive and it still has a bunch of room. I think it took me 3 or 4 hours to do using a 16x speed drive.

Thanks people, I will look into this newfangled apparatus contraption...
Plus it would perhaps prevent theives looking inside to see a CD binder on the passangers seat as a prize break-in temptation.

I have all my old CD's on my iPhone...close to 100 I'd guess. All you need is a laptop with a CD drive, it's easy peasey. Alternatively, Amazon music, Apple music or Spotify...you can listen to almost any song you want on demand.
