Hey guys,

I’d like to see all your bronco builds (stock or crazy build) in this thread. Add a little description about it as well if you’d like.

I’ll start, here is my 1995 Ford Bronco, I have had it since November of 2017 and she has treated me well ever since. Mostly stock with a few goodies, hope to upgrade her with some Solo/Desolate Motorsports in the future when I can start making money again. Thanks guys!

Good deal. Do you go those mudfests in Louisiana? I plan to go there one day. Is the mud all clay?
I've been to colfax a couple of times. good times. bit older now than when I used to go, but still plan on making it back. they run mud pits there with some differnces between each, some are slicker than crap, some are thick gumbo, some have softer bottoms and some hard. it's a nice little setup, or was 10 years ago.

Awesome. I will hit it up at some point. For now gonna do the Florida circuit. Here is a photo of what my bronco looked like on Dana 60’s before the major rebuild....and then after on 2.5 tons fully 4-linked with coil over shocks

Believe it or not... I bought the bronco as you see it from a dealership when it was red. It was a serious hack job of a conversion someone tried to do. I thought I could work with it because someone had done most of the work I would have to do and all the drivetrain components were upgraded...it was just shade tree mechanic work. The tires were Goodyear MVT radials. Metric size that I forget but 46” tall. Same tires on military service trucks and APCs. 9500lb load rating per tire! Lol. They were an all terrain tire. Not that great in the mud but ok. My motor was so under powered and under geared at the time it’s amazing I made it through half the stuff I put it through. Sold the axles.... wish I hadn’t now...they were in great shape when I sold them

large tires and underpowered motor is what made the mid 80s toyotas so great in the mud. you could hack em up and put on a 37-40" buckshot or swamper and just crawl through anything, you aren't slingin mud, but you aren't putting enough torque through anything to break stuff.

what are you running for a motor in the new version? and I like that backwards scoop to keep the mud out.

454 stroked to 498, just under 700hp and 600+lbf of torque....all estimated by builder no dyno...yeah I thought the scoop would help the motor breathe a little...rear mounted radiator so no fan up front and wanted to get some cooler air to the motor since it is boxed in. No highway airflow just water cooled. Tried to build it for its purpose and yeah I had to turn the scoop around because of the splashing. Glad you get it Fyi...headers in the pic are for testing only... not what I’m running

ugggg.

Man, 460. mine should be somewhere around the same power, 460 stroked to 513. it'll pull tires off the ground...that may be why I keep breaking that 9" Ford.

I started with a 460....spoke to guy who was gonna build me a 552...took my money for the stroker kit.... then....died?....at least that’s what I was told...so after that went belly up I ended up with the Chevy....purely a money and availability thing

gotcha. that sucks. I got my motor built for cheap. a drag car engine builder, real Ford guy, but all of his customers want nothing but chevy motors to race. So I told him to take as long as he wanted, because I couldn't afford the 15-20k+ these racers were paying for motors. Took him a year, but he went through everything. studded the heads, balanced all internals, some real nice work. $3500 including parts, he was just happy to play with a Ford build and have free reign on it.

Damn you got a good deal. It took me a while too. But I ended up paying about $12,000 for my motor. I’m already thinking about the next one lol...I’m probably gonna stick a 632 in it after I get tired of this one. Or blow it up...

yeah, mine is a test bed for what I'll drop into my 71 mach 1. except it'll get full aftermarket treatment instead of modifying stock parts.

Here’s my small Bronco fleet. My 95 fullsize, I have had it for about a year- just installed a 4in lift on it. My blue 86 Bronco II, I have had for almost 20 years- has 4in suspension lift and 3in body lift. And my black 85 BII that I have had a few years- I have turned it into our river rat vehicle.0B5CA626-8755-44B1-9265-4B7E8D64EB9F.jpeg34D335C1-7E01-44AF-998C-BE8CB877B4D3.jpeg19AC23DE-14DC-4D6E-AFCC-07998D267DB6.jpeg

well, I may have some 1 ton axles for my SAS. my 250 took another gigantic shit this weekend, I don't know yet if it'll be repairable reasonably. Even if it is, she's been down since december. I am tired of not havnig a working truck, she's cost me about 8k just in the last 14 months and I've barely been able to use her. depending on what the shop comes back with I may just get her back and home and strip her for parts.

Sorry to hear bro, I’ve been there...sucks. But I’m sure those axles would be awesome under your rig! And you have the whole drivetrain to rob as well! If you have the room I would keep as much as you can

I got a few acres, I can park it somewhere. I am thinking I may actually look for another 6.0, that way every time it shits the bed I can just pull parts from my old truck.
