This is a copy/paste from a post I made over on FaceSpace and Classic, if you guys wouldn’t mind helping out and sending a note over to them that would be rad. It's been up for a week or so over there but I'm purposely reposting to get more attention. If you've seen this already and have sent a message thank you!

Attn Bronco lovers who like/use/want another option for a soft top.

Personally, I think it’s high time we have another option for a soft top for our broncos that’s made in the USA with quality materials and excellent customer service.

I’ve just spoken with the people over at Softopper about when they were going to produce a top for our trucks and their response was “when there’s enough interest, we currently only have 5 peoples name on the list” Surely, with enough of your guys/girls help, we can boost those numbers and get a top into production!

Please take a few mins to jump over to their website (softopper.com) and take a look at the products they have for Toyota’s, Scouts, Late model Bronco’s, etc.

If you like what you see and would like to help out, please send an email to [email protected] and let them know! (You could call too but this just assists with the paper trail.) They aren’t looking for commitments to buy, just interest from the market to see if it would be worth their while to produce. Also, I don’t work for them, get paid by them, nothing. I just hate my current soft top so much and want a better option.

I will be posting this across a few pages so you may all see this more than once but I’m going to do what I can to extend the reach. Thanks everyone!

UPDATE: We reached the goal of over 30 people in 24hrs. They have taken the request to management and have decided to look into it further, the time frame currently to be this coming winter. I'm going to keep reminding and updating this throughout the year so everyone has a chance to see this and requests keep flowing in so its not forgotten about. I have a stretch goal of at least 100 of you before the years end, please take a moment and let them know!

Submit your interest email! I am always looking for more people to back the project. [email protected]

This is just one of the questions I have asked myself hundreds of times. Why is it sooooo expensive ( and complicated) to produce a vinyl soft top for a full size Bronco ???? You would think someone out there could figure a way to produce these for less than $750. There is not a lot of material involved... and unless the labor side is $500 per top.... it should be doable. I always liked the Skyler version... compared to the boxy cargo style tops.

Design, facilities, materials, labor, etc. There is a lot that goes into these so they need to make at least some money. That top you have pictured I don't think has been available in many years. But these guys do have a top for all the other generations of bronco, just not the first which is what I'm trying to get manufactured. There likely will only be full family style soft tops for early broncos across all manufacturers forever.

I just wrote them I reserved a 2-door Bronco, and there isn't an option for the 2-door for a soft top. That is what I told them. That I would like the soft top for the summer.
Baja on! As Ford Spanked the competition in 1969, in the Baja 1000, NO OTHER AUTOMAKER HAS, replicated in 50 plus years

I guess it is same reason the dealerships charge 150$ per hour for repairs. Someone has to pay for the owners summer house. I actually bought an industrial sewing machine after researching how much it will cost to re-upholster the seats in just one of my Bronco's. I understand the need to pay someone to rebuild a transmission … or a shop to machine an engine. The Bronco will never be a show queen .. so as long as I can buy the tools for under $500 the experience will be earned and not paid for. Same reason I'm on the look out for a 60 gallon compressor. Can't see paying $4,000 for body work and a paint job for a ride that cost me $3,500...... 10 years ago. THE SCHOOL OF UTUBE ROCKS!!!

Drop a little info on this thread if you aren't or haven't seen the thread over on CB. Losing a little traction here and we could use all the help we can get now, I think persistence may be the key.

Please consider taking a few mins out of your day to send an email, I'd really appreciate the help.
