Will it tow a 20 ft Nautic Star?

I've got a 2,100 pound dry weight 203SC Nautic Star. With half a tank of gas and some boat stuff I'd add 200 pounds and maybe 800 for the trailer. So, my total towing weight would be around 3,100 pounds. I'd tow it a max of 80 miles. Do you think the Bronco with Sasquatch package and 2.7 engine with the class II hitch will tow the boat?

It says a max of 3,500 so I am thinking you should be plenty fine.

It's always been my opinion that a tow rating, at least in the US is what GVWR can the to rig STOP rather than pull.

In any event, 3500lb and you're doing 3100lbs, I think you'll be fine. Hope so, because I loan on cutting it closer than that ;-)

Seeing it as just a boat, not an RV, and just going 80 miles, I would think you would be ok. Be sure that you have HD cooling on the tranny. The Bronco is a heavy vehicle, so proceed wisely. I wish ford would have pulled out all stops, and thru in the 3.5 eco and the 5.0!
Baja on! As Ford Spanked the competition in 1969, in the Baja 1000, NO OTHER AUTOMAKER HAS, replicated in 50 plus years

I agree - the 3.5 or 5.0 would have really helped - I've got the 5.0 in my 2016 F-150 and it tows with no problems. Thanks much.

Power won’t be the issue, it’ll be the suspension. I have an f150 with the 2.7 and I tow an enclosed trailer with quads and I hardly notice it on there. that’s about 4,000 lbs

Exactly. It's not all about the power. My 2.7 F-150 was rated to tow up to 7500lbs. And the 2.7 F-150 can tow up to 9000lbs when equipped correctly.

No problem! Make sure you have a great boat trailer, one set up for your boat.

Have you bought the trailer yet?

Yep - I've got a McClain two axle aluminum trailer that it matched to the NauticStar 203. My F150 tows it easily and the boat is well balanced on the trailer. Thanks for your input.

You are good, then!
