I don't if that's correct. Ford might have made a "Bronco" in Mexico for Mexico, and called is something else. Ford has manufactured in Mexico since 1925
Would love to see pictures of the "Bronco"
Yeah I would love to see a pictures too, would answer a lot of questions.
I know for sure that the Bronco has been assembled in Venezuela, Austrailia, Kentucky (for Bronco II), and… of course… in Michigan. But I am fairly confident it was never assembled in Mexico. The current Bronco Sport is the only Bronco I am aware of that has been assembled in Mexico.
BUT… Mexico may have different standards than we do in the USA. For all I know… it may only need to contain 5% Mexican components for it to be qualified as “Made in Mexico”. In which case it could have been assembled in Venezuela with a few components sourced from Mexico and still labeled as “Made in Mexico” to appeal to the Mexican market.
Just texted my father to see what he knows. He worked for Ford at their Arizona Proving Grounds starting in the 1980s, and I know he worked on Ford vehicles intended for the Mexican market.
