My order is finally in! Wanted to see if anyone can help me pick a song to drive off the lot. I’m not much into country music. But do love me some rock music. Any suggestions? My favorite band is Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I never play music when I first leave with a new ride, be it my own or a rental car for work. I'd rather hear the sounds of the vehicle so I know if anything is currently awry and to learn its "normal" sounds so I can possibly identify anything going awry in the future. I also occasionally drive without music for periods of time for the same reason, just to see if I hear an issue. That's just me though.

I always have the scene from training day in my head so I went with Still D.R.E. and put that thing into sport mode

Higher Ground!

On May 5, 1995, with my newly issued Texas driver's license, I hopped into my 1985 Cadillac Coupe de Ville and Welcome to the Jungle by GnR was playing on the rock radio station (that fine ride didn't even have a tape player).

On June 2, 1997 when I pulled away from the dealership in my brand new Mustang GT, I popped Appetite for Destruction into the CD player and blasted Welcome to the Jungle.

In Aug'2013, I plugged my iPod into the USB port in the console of my new Escape and blasted Welcome to the Jungle.

When my Bronco comes in, I'll stream Welcome to the Jungle via wireless Android auto.

The vehicle and the technology may change, but the song will stay the same!
