Vehicle is one week old. It is very difficult to get the soft top to “latch”. The posts on the top do not line up with the holes on the windshield bracket.
My assumption is that one would simply pull the top forward and all would line up for easy latching. Is this an incorrect assumption?
Very frustrated - should not be this difficult!!!
Any suggestions?

Do you have more pics?

If the rear hatch isn't closing, make sure, like the hood, you slam it closed. Also make sure the rear hatch is closed good before latching the front.

If the brackets/bolts over the rear doors aren't latching you should still be able to close and latch shut the front of the soft top. But to get best results you will need to pry the latches onto bolts on both sides above rear doors using a hammer and flathead. I had to do same on mine with the wife help. Note, our top still worked fine without the mid points latched. See pics of the latches not connected to bolts on both sides above passenger doors on my 2021 BL before we fixed it.

Because I have a MIC on order I have reviewed the soft top video in a while. I know that there are some nuances to it

As @NT AUTOMOTIVE stated, it’s likely the 2 latches on the side that aren’t engaged so it is not allowing the top to be far enough forward to latch correctly.

This is a really good video that covers the removal & installation of the soft top. If you follow these directions, it should latch properly.

same same. I brought it to the dealer and they squared it away in an hour. Seem onesire where the top fold half way down the bronco was off by a bit.

I'm also having issues getting the soft top to latch. I've done it just like the above video and it's so tight. I just can't get the side latches to latch. I put all my weight onto it and it still won't latch. Any fixes for at home or do I have to take it to the dealer?

I did everything step by step in this video and the side latches still will not latch. I can latch the front windshield latches, but if I have the top folded halfway and go over bumps or potholes then the whole thing bounces around.

Make sure you let the rear hatch slam closed. Then open top halfway. You will need 2 people. Both pressing down on top half open. One side at a time. One person hold passenger side after its latched while you work driver side. If it still wont clear use a hammer and flathead to get the metal bolt into the latch. If one side latched and other side 75% latched that is good enough. It should stay that way until you open top all the way.

It wont really slam shut. I'll try opening the whole thing up again and try it again, but mine doesn't move as freely/easily as the red bronco in the video does.

Also, I'm trying to avoid taking it back to the dealership as they already had to fix a wiring issue and had it for a month! I'm afraid I'm going to have to take it back in though as I randomly get parking break error messages when I start it up sometimes...even if I didn't engage the parking break.

We fixed ours ourselves for the same reason last year (everything taking forever and MAYBE coming back fixed if not worse than when it arrived). If the rear hatch isn't closing aka slamming shut properly then your top is out of alignment. I would close it up. Then start in rear. Once you get the hatch to slam shut and lock on both sides, then open the top halfway and begin the steps mentioned above in the middle of the vehicle standing in the backseat with the help of another person. You can't do it alone.

Hi there. Can you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this for you.
