Hey! Long time follower, first time registered and posting member. So I noticed this week that the rear interior light on my 22 Bronco isn’t shutting off (the light at the center of the bar just above the rear passenger seats). Anyone else have this problem? I have pushed the button on it and confirmed all the doors are closed but still no luck. All the other lights shut off but that one stays on and mocks me. Any advise would be appreciated.

You could take the light out.

According to the owner's manual, "The battery saver turns the courtesy lamps and interior lamps off after a short period of time after you switch your vehicle off." How long are you waiting? Would/does the lamp remain illuminated all night long without your intervention?

Well I think I might have fixed the issue! I switched all the lights on and off from the drivers interior lights control panel (located near the rear view mirror) This seemed to have reset it and it shut off at the same time as the others when I closed the doors.

That’s cool. I can see why this is frustrating; not only is it annoying, you run the risk of draining your battery! My only suggestion if you hadn’t resolved the issue was to try disconnecting and then reconnecting the battery cables. It sounds weird, but sometimes electronics require a hard reboot. Glad you found a solution.

I noticed mine was doing this last week after 8 months of ownership.

Two notes:

1. I think, could be wrong, it has something to do with me adjusting my exterior lights from auto to off which I just started doing over the last month (added to preflight checklist). I haven't changed anything else that would make it do that. Or its from hitting road bumps to hard lol jk. Side note. Adjusting auto on/off lights can also mess up your perimeter lights aka beauty rings on headlights might not turn ON when exiting the vehicle in your garage. Best way to fix the latter is push the lock button twice on your fob until it honks then hit unlock and ALL perimeter lights should reboot and turn back on (back to normal).

2. Simply pushing the rear dome light doesn't turn it off. *You have to PRESS and HOLD the rear dome light button for it to turn off. Then you're good to go!
