Last March (2021) I placed my order for the 4-door Wildtrak after kicking the 2-door model to the curb. Now that I have decided to keep my F-150 Limited, I do not feel the need to buy the 4-door Bronco. Lately, I have been warming up to the 2-door, and after having the chance to drive one, I changed my order last week to the 2-door Wildtrak. My dealer currently has/had 100 Broncos on order since the introduction and from that amount, only four have been the two door models. Hopefully, with only 20% of the orders with Ford being placed for 2-door Broncos, my delivery time will not be too long of a wait.

Below are a few pics of the order.

Looks great! I ordered my 2 door in January 2021 and just got an email that it's expected to ship this week! I cannot wait for it and should be a great Halloween "treat"!

A two door wildtrak was definitely a rarity in 21, arguably and likely the least built style. We will see how 22 goes. SAS and 2 drs length/size looks great. 2dr upped to 37s starts to look cartoonish in my opinion, but I am sure we will see lots on the road....
2 door base sas was one of my favorite drives off road so far... bit sparse inside and utilitarian feeling, but a nice drive. I have a 2dr bronco, so sticking with the 4 door. Plan has been to get rid of a few vehicles to make room for the new bronc.... was planning to trade in to save some hassle, but given the delays I might just put a few vehicles up for sale.

It was a pleasure reading the responses to my thread and it's good to see that others will be enjoying their Broncos sans a couple of doors.

I fully understand the practicality of the 4 door, but for me the Bronco is and always should be a 2 door vehicle.

Haha just the opposite I'm afraid, 2D orders and their owners got the shaft on the 21' models. Not sure why 22' would be any different from what I'm reading. 90% of 2D orders weren't filled last year.

I fall into that category as well. I feel like I’m setting myself up for frustration regarding my high hopes for scheduling tomorrow

That's because of the hard top issues. They made all those 4 doors because they were able to build them with soft tops.

Even in the beginning though, 4 door hard top to 2 door production was around 10 to 1 iirc.

I wouldn't expect any estimates to be real confident. There are some known numbers/data, but a lot of the numbers thrown around are just guesstimates at best. Of the around 125K converted orders, less than 30% were 2dr versions, estimated at around 27% or something like that, which like the manual transmission option is unusually high compared to the industry as a whole. Excluding the limited FEs people overwhelming choose badland and wildtrak trims over others, followed by OBX. The rest gets really muddy. Let's say MAP was producing 10 to 1, which is often thrown out as an example, but not necessarily what people mean. Out of 11 vehicles in production, 1 is a 2dr. That is less than 10%. But still reasonable given all the other factors. We don't know how 2dr and 4 dr orders fall out with respect to time stamp. Assuming it is an even distribution is easy, nice and clean, but rarely a reality. We also don't know how the 2dr to 4dr distribution falls out with respect to dealer allocations.

There was a thread with a post on 6g with numbers, I'll see if I can find it.

70% of Bronco reservations were conquest sales.People keeping up with Jones's.They will own one Bronco for 2 years and trade it in in something else.So the 4 dr vs 2dr thing is skewed. The numbers will change.

What sort of change are we talking about and when? In 3 year or say model year 24 orders for two doors are going to gain ground on 4 dr orders? By what percentage? And what percentage is meaningful or significant? Are you willing to put money on it? I will take that bet. I would think it couldn’t be much different than Jeep wranglers. 4 drs sales out number 2 drs by a huge margin. 2 dr version will no longer even be sold in the European market. Of course, Europe does not buy many Jeeps. Even sales in Canada are crazy low. I believe yearly wrangler sales in Canada are roughly similar to 1 month of sales in the US.

If it has time stamp distributions by 2dr/4dr that would be incredibly interesting.
