Good morning! This is the day that Steve is really missed. Cereal and toons! Hope our little buddy is enjoying both wherever he is.
I got the shock recall completed yesterday, along with the oil change. And got the Bronco all cleaned up again. Just in time for Moab. Don't look close though, there is still some underneath in the nook and crannies.
I talked to my sister last night. I'm flying back to Indy for Christmas.
The holidays will not be easy this year. But, I am looking forward to them.
I have an early lunch date and then I hope to get Christmas lights put up outside. And if not today, I will get them up and the timers all set before I go to Moab. It is a must!

Funny story about Steve and Saturday cartoons and cereal… (@Sven )
Was at Steve’s celebration of life, and in fact was getting ready to leave, when this old guy came up and introduced himself (sorry I’ve forgotten the name) but shared that whenever Steve worked on Saturday morning (which was often as he was the boss), this guy would come up to the gas company office and watch cartoons with Steve, and Steve would always what was happening on BN with his old timer friend… Good memories!

This guy was ADAMANT that all of Steve’s cartoon ideas were HIS, not Steve’s… LOL…

Good Saturday Morning, Kids…
Reflecting this cloudy morning on the many trails and paths that have brought us all here… I’ve never been a part of anything online that resulted in 43,000+ responses… sheeesh, folks, that is kind of incredible on so many fronts…

Starting to get 2026 penciled in in terms of travel and fun, and hoping the rest are looking to possible join in on one or more adventures in your Bronco next year… With the knees fixed and the large muscles continuing to get work, I’m excited for what 2026 will bring us all.

Just so you know. Wickenburg celebrates "gold rush days" Feb 11-15. Parade, rodeo and fun stuff. Town gets very busy this weekend. Lots of fun stuff.

And I'm out of town the second week of February. Hate to miss you again.

Maybe I could drive in on the 13th and have 2 days for the fun stuff in town. And stay long enough to run some trails the next week. Would love to see you and Louise again.
Now to get my knee pads on and grovel for the spare bedroom. 🤣

Good morning all! Happy Sunday morning.
My lunch date was a lot of fun yesterday. Too much fun. Lasted 3 hours. So, Christmas lights still need to be strung. And we got a lot of rain last night. So it won't happen today - dirt yard, rain, mud and ladders are not a good combo for old, widowed women.
So rearrange to do list and still get all done before I leave for MOAB on Wednesday. So freaking excited! Trying to convince myself to do Fins and Things on Friday. I know the Bronco can do it, but can I? Doing Seven Mile Rim on Thursday. The tippy section will be frightening! I'll just close my eyes through it. It will be OK.

Happy Sunday Everyone! As Lauri mentioned, we got a lot of rain last night. The sun did peek out while I was at the clinic earlier this morning, but it’s all gray and raining again here. Since we live in the desert, I’ll take the rain! I have some photo editing to do today so let it rain.

Yup, we've had a bunch of rain. Had to drain the pool down twice. I have to cross a wash to get to my house and only once was the water running. Lucky for us we kinda live on a hill, so if we get home and have nuff food n beer we can survive.

Good Monday morning! We got some more rain yesterday afternoon. Christmas lights still on hold.
I need to cut up an 8lb hunk of pork shoulder butt and get them into bags and freeze them. I'm making Carne Adovado for the pot luck we are having on Friday night in Moab.

Good Monday Morning, Kids!
We have a short break in the weather before the next wave of rain comes through all week and finally brings snow into the mountains! Hoping this is a short week for those still having to go into the office or shop on a regular basis, and hoping if you’re traveling this week that you pack a little patience and maybe even a little more. 73 million travelers should make for busy highways and flyways, so take a breath and get to your destination safely.

There is a plate of Bear Claw doughnuts on the counter as well as a fresh pot of coffee for any who are still needing a Monday morning, pickup… Enjoy!
