I hold onto my God and guns as well...
Then you're a "BETTER clinger" -- you know what you're clinging to.
My better half came across a username on a discussion forum, "Bitter Klinger," with a picture of Cpl. Maxwell Klinger (Jamie Farr) as an icon.
It is now Thursday, Hump Day + 1, dress rehearsal for the Weekend! Also, the day I organize my grocery shopping, as the current week's specials are expiring, but I have the next week's flyer and can see what bargains (hrumph!) I should jump on, and which are coming up. Why buy chicken this week when it's on "sale" next week? I just noticed that the Tropicana OJ I got "on sale" at $2.77 has now been shrink-flated down to 1.43 quarts. Such a cute, skinny little bottle!
But: my local supermarket (Stop & Shop) gave me 10x gas points if I bought a Lowe's gift card. I generally prefer Lowe's over Home Depot ("six of one, half-dozen of the other"), but that's a big discount on Stop & Shop gas, so I bought myself a $250 gift card, which I'll use over a period of time. That, plus 10% Veterans discount (Lowe's), plus 6% rewards on my American "Distress" card, and I do my shopping in tax-free New Hampshire whenever possible.
Thirteen states tax food: Idaho, Utah, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Virginia, Mississippi, Hawaii, Tennessee, and Alabama. What's with these politicians?
