Good morning Al!
Yes, we made it home last night around 8pm after leaving the Asheville area around 4:50am. To say we are all tired is an understatement, but it was all worth it. Yes, the world seems to be going to hell in a handbasket, but it is truly inspiring when you see people come together to help others. We joined an established organization in the Hendersonville area to hand out everything from baby formula, diapers, baby wipes, toilet paper, paper towels, cereal, bananas, rakes, shovels, water and etc...
I wish we could have brought more down but the Bronco is not the ideal tow vehicle considering the 3500# limit. I do think that we went quite a bit over that but it pulled like a champ. It didn't look like much in the trailer until we unloaded it all.
One of the amazing part of it was nobody took more than they needed. We also took 35 gallons of gas down there to give to those that needed it. Some declined the gas and told us to give it to others that needed it worse than they did. Neighbors looking out for neighbors. 💗
The gal in the minivan below almost cried when we offered her some gas. She was trying to get supplies for her neighbors that didn't have a way to make it into town.
Besides Mike (
@SlashRacer ) who physically came down with me, there were numerous Bronco Nation members that helped behind the scenes with donations to help with the purchase of gas. Not to mention the prayers and well wishes. We have one amazing community here!
