Modular Bumper Foglights?

I am planning to add 3.5" fog lights by using the Bronco bolts for the Bull bar. Has anyone done this yet ? I want to use the 2 outers as I want to add the Heretic Studios 20" Amber light bar on the inners. If they don't work there I guess I can add them on the Cowl but I wonder if they would help for the fog up that high.

I got the KR brackets from 4x4truckleds.com for the outside triangle of the modular bumper. Plan on installing them this weekend coming up.

@DSTAR777, @Padams7, & @SFCBASHAM,

Would each of you follow up with pictures and updates when you do? Would love to see the end results and hear your experience for when I get mine.

Here are a couple photos, distance, lights on.

It was actually a pretty straight up install, I am attending the Off-Roadeo, Austin tomorrow, but I will do something when I get back taking better photos and showing close up of the hardware, and how I wired them up.

So I ordered with the modular bumper, which I know deletes the OEM fog lights.

Is the original fog light switch and wiring still present in the vehicle? Or do you have to wire up to one of the AUX switches - assuming you have those?

This is from on the other place:
https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/factory-fog-light-switch.22937/
They ended up ordering a new dash switch, and have to run wiring from it to get it to work. Much easier to just use an aux switch

Thank you for this!

I'm summarizing what I've learned below, for my own reference - and maybe help some other people.

If I want to add fog lamps to the modular bumper using existing wiring and a 'clean' factory switch:

The wiring for the front fog lamps is included with High/Lux packages. C1322/C1323. Other builds probably don't have the front wiring harness installed, because that harness also goes to other sensors that are only used with those packages. (But then, what are C152/C162?) The Rear fog lamp wiring (C436) is probably already there. It is required in Europe, but not used in the US.

1645495419594.png
1645495445296.png

I need to replace the light switch, and enable the new controls in ForScan.

1645503101046.png

Switch M2DZ-11654-CA provides control for the front fog lamps, all the mirror accessories, but not the rear fog lamp.
Switch M2DZ-11654-DA includes all of that, and control for rear lights. (ML3Z-11654-DA will also work, but you have to remove the trunk and gas door switches and replace them with the mirror switches from the original Bronco switch. I think that one is actually for an Escort? )

(** EDIT ** I think I got that backwards - CA is front/rear; DA is front only.)

(I *think* the first two M2DZ-11654-AA and BA are the same, without the "puddle lamp", which is the downward facing white light under the mirrors.)

The existing connectors are capped with male blanks that can be reused to connect the fog lights. Yellow with Orange stripe is the power for the right side light; Brown is the power for the left side light. Ballinger Motor Sports carries the parts (male pins - CONN-100986, and seals - CONN-56057) needed to convert the existing cap into a usable water proof connection.

The factory rear fog light PN is M2DZ-15200-A. It apparently will pop right into the steel rear bumper.

And for the record, everything I put here came from "the other place."

nope, none is there. as above would have to order all the parts and wiring to put it in. AUX for the win there. I dumped the MOD bumper for that reason and will go AM once I get mine, saved me money and kept factory controls and wiring.

I originally wired my fog lights to the AUX switches, and finally got around to doing this today - I worked like a charm...

The OEM fog-light wires were capped off behind the plastic panels. All I had to do was fish them out and re-pin the caps with the parts listed above. The only hiccup there was realizing that I had to pull the retaining clips out from the front to get the new pins to go into the connectors. I used a crooked O-ring pick to fish the clips out and the pins popped right in.

After that, i opened up Forscan and made the following changes:

BdyCM CONFIGURATION:
Front fog lamps - changed to "Enabled".
Fog Lamp Switch - changed to "Enabled"
Using Front Fog With High Beam - changed to "Allowed" (Bambi!)

IPC CONFIGURATION:
Front fog lamps - changed to "Enabled"

BdyCM (As-Built Configuration):
726-42-01-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx - Change the middle-four values (xxxx) to 0101

726-39-01 01xx-xxxx-xxxx (This enabled "cornering" lights. The left or right fog light comes on with the respective turn signal at low speeds. Kinda cool!)

So far, everything works fine - and it frees up one of my upfitter switches!

I bought the factory switch with both front and rear fog light controls, but haven't done anything with the rear switch yet. I'm thinking about using it to control rock lights under the wheel wells... But we'll see!

I initially planned on using the up-fitter switches to power the fogs, but then I spoke with John from SPV, who indicated that I could use the 'unused' fog light connectors. It works like a charm.
I purchased new Rigid Amber/White SAE fog lights and currently have the amber light connected to the new (replaced) factory light switch, which has a switch for front and rear fogs. I have the white fog connected to one of the up fitter switches, but plan on fishing out the rear fog light wire and pulling up front to use it to control the white fog light. These fogs are like having two fog lights in one. I can use the amber when conditions dictate and use the white fog when appropriate or use them both at the same time. I'm really happy with the dual function of the fog lights.

With so many switch options, trying to figure out what one I need.
Currently have Badlands with Mod bumper, and high package (so puddle, heated, blind spot) and no fog lights. Want to add front and rear fog lights with out using my aux switchs(going to use them for light bars(2), winch, air pump, rock lights and rear floods)

I went with the ZROADZ kit - 3 pairs of amber lights. I wired one pair to the factory foglight button (I bought a replacement headlight switch with the foglight button integrated), and the other 2 pairs are wired to one of my aux switches. Very happy with the setup

I bought the EU version of the headlight switch that has integrated front and rear foglight buttons. As I just mentioned, I wired the front foglight button to one pair of the amber lights in my bumper. I also wired the rear foglight button to the Diode Dynamics lights I mounted in the spare tire.

@Calgecko sorry for the delay in asking this question…I know you have posted the part number for that switch somewhere…I just can’t find it. Is that EU switch part number M2DZ-11654-CA? There is so much information to sort through on this topic and I believe you did the best job! Thanks for your time!

No worries - this is the one I used .. but that may vary by your application. I have Lux Badlands - so I have the mirror/zone lights, puddle lights, IBIS indicators, etc - so this is the one I needed for my application: https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-part...-headlamps-m2dz11654cc?c=cT1NMkRaLTExNjU0LUNC

I know this is older. I am curious if the rear fog wires were actually in the rear bumper and able to be used with this switch? This is backordered from Tasca, but when you look it up on Ford Parts online it does not say anything about the fog switches Like all of the others do. I am going to order this switch as I amgoing to get the RC bumper that has the integrated rear lights.

Do me a favor and let me know if you were ever able to get this done. I have my Wildtrak coming at beginning of May and I am planning on getting this switch. I appreciate your time.
