Has anybody successfully added a keyless entry keypad ordered after original delivery? I tried following the procedure to add a new key fob from the owners manual, but that failed to add the keyboard. Is a trip to the dealer my only option?
Thanks.

Everything I've read says you have to have the dealer program it. But also looking for any option to do this myself, just haven't come across one.

Certain scan tools can do it from brands like Autel. But for a 1 and done use, it’s a better value to just go the the dealer.

If you know the Factory Code, you can do it right from Sync 3 Settings Menu! I just did mine a week and a half ago... it was easier than doing it from the door! I think it's under "Settings>Vehicle" then you just select "Add new Code", it asks you for the Factory Code once and then your new 5 digit code twice (also, if you want to delete the Factory Code, which I did NOT do), then Save and you're done!!! (of course, this was my '21 Bronco "Sport")

Are the keyless entry keypads magnetic or do they use some kind of adhesive to stick on? Because it's not wired, I saw a great idea of hiding it inside the gas door flap...

It’s printed on a card that is located inside the fuse box by the driver’s side lower dash panel.
