@TK1215 is correct! Just to add a bit more detail:
You can earn points by doing the following…
- Getting service done at a participating Ford dealer
- Buying a new Ford vehicle
- Attending a Ford event
- Taking advantage of Ford’s special offers (listed in the FordPass app)
- Spending money on a FordPass Rewards VISA (not necessary for the program to work)
And you can redeem those points on service, parts and accessories at a Ford dealer. Soon (end of Jan 2023) you will also be able to redeem those points online too at
Ford’s Accessory website.
Point conversion values:
- When you SPEND FordPass points, it is $0.005 per point... or 200 points per dollar.
- When you EARN FordPass points, it is 1 point per every 10¢ spent. Or 10 points per every $1 spent on Ford parts/services.
To keep the points active you have to spend and/or earn at least 1 point per year. If you don’t they will expire.
If you only own one Ford vehicle it’s helpful to get a discount on a higher-value accessory you’ve always wanted or get some discounts on service, but that’s about it. You don’t really earn enough points to make it worth it otherwise.
If you own more than one Ford vehicle it can come in handy big time. Personally, I currently own three Ford vehicles and also have the Rewards VISA. I do all vehicle maintenance myself, so I don’t get discounts on service. But because of FordPass, all of my parts and supplies on my vehicles have been completely free for the past 2-3 years.
Just last week I was at the dealer picking up a paint correction pen for my Bronco (I scratched it 😥 ) and that was also free.
