I just joined, looks like a great place to give and get info on my new Bronco! So far it'd been a great 12k miles.
Does anyone know where the brake light switch is located on a '22? I need to install a disconnect on the brake light switch to flat tow it when its hooked up to the tow vehicle's light harness...Or is there a separate brake light fuse I can pull when I'm towing the Bronco?
Any help or direction is appreciated, that's the last piece of my flat-tow puzzle. Thanks!
Thanks! Unfortunately, my brakes on the towbar are surge type, I only need to find out how to turn off or bypass the brake pedal switch, wherever it is! I bought the haness and relay from NSA, but can't locate the physical switch in the Bronco to connect it to...any idea where the switch or if there is a dedicated fuse for the pedal switch
?

This is your lucky day, with the new ABS software download to disable the EBB, the brake lights are also disabled when you go into the Tow Mode.

Wow that's great. Thanks
Do I have to go to the dealer for the software?

It is an Over The Air Download. The best way to check is go into the Tow Mode and see if you get the extra brake warnings.
Some owners have went to the dealer to get a force down load and found out they already have it.
In the radio were you setup the download schedule there is a screen that shows download status.

Thanks for the great info. I actually tested it in neutral tow today and you are correct!! Thanks so much for the help. No brake lights in neutral tow mode!

Do you have the V6 or the iPhone 4 engine. I just purchased a bronco Outer Banks that I plan to tow behind my motorhome. I have an under the hood brake system to be installed and I am going for the front hitch next week. I was told the issue was the V-6, and that the electronic Brake system would lock up after a few bouts of towing. That is why I purchased the I four which is a vacuum system instead of electronic if you have time and you don’t mind from one motorhome person to another, would you call me my number is 727-403-1971 Johnny.
