For a pure offload capable build, is the badlands sasquatch or everglades better (if you could take off the snorkel and winch)? Aside from those additions, is the everglades more capable?

For pure off-roading / rock-crawling / etc... Badlands is more capable.

Everglades is more of an "overlanding" setup.

Everglades comes with the 2.3L only, and does not have the sway bar disconnect Badlands has. It does come with the Sasquatch package, however, so you have slightly more clearance standard, and front and rear lockers.

The front and rear lockers are standard on the Badlands.
May the Ford be with you, always.

Everglades sway bars can be disconnected manually quite fast and easy with a wrench. It's very common to do in the off road community.

It depends on the off roading you will be doing. Like said before the sway bar can be manually disconnected on the Glades so you are just about the same there. If you are wheeling in dusty conditions and will be riding with other off roaders than the snorkel will allow you to get cleaner air. And we already know about the advantages the Everglades has in water fording. The winch kinda comes in for a better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. With the winch you can get yourself through tougher trails than you could without, if used properly. The most capable crawler right out of the box would be the bad squatch the most capable Overlander right out of the box would be the Everglades. The best bang for your buck is a no squatch black Diamond and the best entry level go anywhere beast would be a base squatch. And the coolest Bronco would be a no squatch badlands manual transmission with high package. Just my opinion anyway.

Oh, B&P. Notoriously wrong :) Sasquatch package does include front and rear lockers, though.

Am I reading this correctly? The rock rail doesn’t support the weight of the vehicle???

Not the rail that supports the hoop steps, no. it's a different rail than the factory standard on other trims.
