I'm a new member and I'm sure these questions have been asked a million times but like I said......I'm new. So anyway, I live in central NY (Rome NY) and I'm looking for a "town and country" (Town and country TV on YouTube) type of dealership with no msrp mark ups and can also do modifications. I'm interested in the 4 door badlands but not sure if I should get the sasquatch package and add a 3.5-inch lift or if I want a lift kit should I even waste the money on a sasquatch? I hate to sound like an idiot but I'm just starting my research on these vehicles and I found Bronco nation and figured.......what better place to ask a few questions

As far as dealerships go.... you'll have to shop around. Find a dealership that is willing to commit to a price whether that is MSRP, or 2% above MSRP, or 5% MSRP, or MSRP with aftermarket goodies, etc. etc. Whatever you are comfortable with. If you do place an order, make sure get the agreed upon pricing in writing. Not just the order preview, but an actual written agreement and/or a purchase agreement that lists the price.

As far as the Sasquatch package goes... if you are going for a 3.5" lift out of the gate, I'd skip Sasquatch package. Sasquatch package offers practically nothing for the Badlands trim if you intend on going with a lift or different tires after purchase. That said, if you ultimately decide to not get a Badlands and instead are looking at a lower-trim Bronco (Black Diamond, for example)... then the Sasquatch may be worth it as it adds front lockers. But Badlands has front lockers standard, so not worth it imo.

All sound questions. There are definitely dealers out there that are ethical and fair-minded and are not taking unfair advantage of their customers, so I would encourage you to ask around for referrals. I got one from someone here on Bronco Nation and ended up going to the same salesman at the same dealership. I’m assuming you’re interested in staying with dealers that are close to you. Or are you also considering dealers who will ship a car to you? As far as the Sasquatch package goes, there are a few variables to consider, such as whether you know what you want, and have a shop you can trust to perform the alterations to your liking for a reasonable price. For example, I have a friend who’s making his own version of the Sasquatch package because he wants to custom tailor it to his needs, and isn’t fond of the wheels and tires that are part of the factory package. Welcome to the site, by the way!
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

sasquatch gives you lower gears unless you go mt and I my opinion the is no way you could re gear for the cost of adding SAS to a badlands

Thank you for your input I appreciate that. The reason I want the badlands is it's the only trim with Front Stabilizer Bar Disconnect. So, if I'm getting a lift and new tires then the sasquatch package is kind of unnecessary is what you are saying

Thanks! I think I can find a dealer nearby that will be somewhat honest.... That may be an oxymoron. using dealership and honest in the same sentence? Anyway, I'm more concerned about the sasquatch package. It sounds like that may be all I need. 35-inch tires stock? I guess I'm just looking to make it my own instead of looking like all the others, so I figured I'd add a lift kit and tires along with some other things like bumpers and winch so that's why I figured I'd see what you all think about my dilemma

In my opinion, for the Badlands trim, yes.

If you are getting a manual transmission, then the Sasquatch package is definitely unnecessary on Badlands. I’d actually call it a bad purchase for the manual transmission. If you are getting the automatic transmission, going with the Sasquatch package gets you a 4.7 rear axle ratio instead of the standard 4.46 axle ratio (as @Cornwelltoolman said).

Some people think that 4.7 ratio is worth the cost of the Sasquatch package. I personally disagree with that. The transmission is a 10-speed and 4.46 gearing will be perfectly fine for most people. If you intend on slapping on 40” tires… okay… yes, it makes sense to get the 4.7 axle. But if you are sticking to 33”-37”, the 4.46 will be fine.

I might agree you might not really notice a big performance difference but over the life of the transmission you will have more strain with the larger tires without the lower gears

Yep I’d do a no squatch badlands. Then you can upgrade it to make it yours. That is my plan and I am going with the MT so I can get the gears. But fyi I did drive a 2.3 auto BB with a level kit and 35” on 20” wheels and I did not feel any loss in performance. Not like the gladiators I see on 37”+ that can’t get out of their own way. And why not just buy from T&C and take a road trip back home.

I don’t understand how Ford expects us to order a new Bronco and wait, then wait some more, then wait even longer… all to have some BS dealer steal it from us by saying we have to pay a premium mark up. All I can say… Ford better step up and take care of this nonsense!

@DoubleA13440 Welcome to the Bronco Nation!

Ordering a bronco with sasquatch gives you the factory warranty on all the parts. If you add the lift and bigger tires later, broken parts may not be covered under the factory warranty.

There have been a few broken front axles already from people who went non sasquatch on a non badlands. The front axles on the base, big bend, black diamond and outer banks are not the same as the badlands or sasquatch. Sasquatch will also get you the 4.7 gears with auto. With a non sasquatch badlands with auto you have 4.46.

A sasquatched badlands is an extremely capable bronco. It will do almost anything you want.

Has anyone reported the markup dealers to their state AG. In NY I guess that would be a waste of time. In MI my dealer has no markup. They are happy to get the orders and sell cars. I called 3 different dealers and asked this question.

I have no idea about that or where to start, all I know is I drive truck locally all-around central NY so I've been seeing the new broncos all over the area. My coworker is also a diehard ford guy and wants a bronco, so this place called friendly ford in Geneva NY has a 4 door big bend and hes saying they marked it up 15 grand!! I saw a price on their website for around 40 grand but not much info on how equipped it is. I wanna pay up to around 60 for a badlands but 70 or above is just crazy!!

May I ask what dealer this is? We live in Texas and are very more than willing to drive somewhere that will not charge $20-30k over MSRP like they are all doing here in the Dallas area.
