Hello, I am new to the forum. My main reason for joining at this time is to get information on a 1994 XLT Bronco. So here we go, A friend of mine here in WA bought an auctioned Oregon fire department Bronco about 9 years ago. Then my son bought from him about 4.5 years ago. My son is thinking about selling it which I may by from him. Questions would be what its worth and is an X fire command vehicle good to buy. or just sell to other person. I can say it is in great shape, cared for by both my friend and my son and I. Has 132,935 miles and has been garaged in Utah. Thoughts would be much appreciated. As a note the lights and sirens are fully functional. Attaching photos, have more if requested.20220220_145027.jpgIMG_0095.jpgIMG_0096.jpgIMG_0095.jpgIMG_0096.jpg20220220_145149.jpg20220220_145042.jpg20220220_145050.jpg20220220_145027.jpgIMG_0095.jpgIMG_0096.jpg20220220_145149.jpg20220220_145042.jpg20220220_145050.jpg20220220_145027.jpg

Welcome @Bronco prospector! I don't have any "expert" advise. Imo if you not sure that you want it it, now would a time when you could get a good price for it. No idea what that price might be. But, it looks like it is really good shape. Good Luck!

Thank you for response. My son wants to sell it but I hate to see it go that's why I may just buy it from him. I know the Albany Oregon area fire department had it for 18 plus years, then my friend and now my son, has been well cared for. All heavy duty options on it. Just do not know value so can make son offer or just give him idea of its worth. I figured getting some insight from Bronco owners would help. Checking out Bronco nation now, very cool forum. What to do oh boy.

Thank you and any thoughts and opinions are helpful. Yes the used auto market is a bit crazy right now, seems older Bronco's are hard to get an estimated value on, and this one is odd due to fire department stuff on it.

I agree, just seems blue book, what people are asking and auction results are all over the map.

Thank you all for the likes and information. Got to say I am leaning towards giving my son some cash for it, would hate to see it leave we have done alot to keeping it in top running order and it is fun to drive around and will go anywhere. My what to do is because I already have a 2019 Jeep Cherokee and 2021 Toyota Tacoma, I know booo but both are capable off roaders, however not as sexy as the 1994 Ford Bronco. I will be the person working on selling it due to my son going to England, will be moving it from Utah to Washington soon. In the event that sale is decided is it ok to post on Bronco Nation and if so what is best way to post. I know I could probably figure it out, but I like input before jumping in, you know newbie stuff. Keep on Keepin' on.

I would keep it if you can. Being owned by the Fire Service means it was Probably serviced very well and by the looks of it, it is in great shape it has some cool goodies that you can really find anymore that light bar is legit. I kick myself all the time that I missed buying this '94 a few years ago. By the time I got home (6 miles away) to call on it, it was sold.

Sounds like you really like this Bronco. Getting it from your son would also make it hold some sentimental value I'd assume. It's in great condition as you have pointed out. It doesn't have to be an off road truck since you already have those. This thing could be cleaned up even more over time and use is to just putt around town and turn some heads. Plus they're climbing in value these days! So it seems like a no brainer to throw your boy some cash and keep this thing.

Best of luck to ya!

Well I have thought about getting the fire department stuff off but it is fun to ride around with people looking like they did not know any fire departments still had older Broncos lol. We had the top front left one replaced and I did the clean off of old adhesive and I can tell you those older ones are not easy to remove, very slow process. Here is a couple photos of before and after. I guess its just time, patience and elbow grease. It figures now that talking with Bronco people that I want it.

That is a concern and yes I probably will kick myself. What started out at first to sale it for my son is turning into keeping.

Maybe it’s what your son wanted the whole time. Lol. It’s a win win for him that way. Still a win for you though too.

I think so, he said just don't use it enough and the cash would be good to go to England with. One thing in my favor is that I know how much he bought it from my friend for, so he can go a bit easy on price with me. My friend who bought it after FD use has said many time that he should have never sold it and is also interested in buying back. Told him and my son that it is worth more than the 4,000 paid for it about 5 years ago.

It's really a nice truck. I was looking for one like this right about the time I decided to buy the new Bronco. You just don't find them nice and untouched anymore. I'd hang on to this even if it's just a weekend driver.
