locked storage box and nothing within eyesight that someone would want to steal is the best security for a soft top. They can cut the soft top and grab whatever they see before anyone would give a crap about an alarm.

alarms worked great in the '90s no one cares about them going off now. Like @cmiller81 locked storage boxes and manual trans since no one can drive them anymore LOL

That's true for any car, regardless of tops. Leaving ANYTHING in plain sight in your vehicle, no matter how worthless it is to you, is a bad idea.
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

I agree with what has been said already. I found this interesting. Another owner created a sentry system like Tesla has. While it may not prevent a break in, it does offer video evidence. If a crook sees a dash cam, that may be a deterrent as well. Im planning to install one for trails but if it works for security too then it is a win, win.

As a Jeep owner for many years, I never left anything in my Jeep that I would miss if it was taken. I park it with doors off and everything all the time. Nothing in there but cheap koozies, mints and old receipts.
On Order, 11/15/21: MY22 Badlands 2-dr, Carb Gray, 2.3L, 7spd, SAS, Lux Reorder, 9/23/22: MY23, dropped tow.
