The beadlock wheels that come on the Sasquatch package are not true beadlocks. So you can take the bead off without letting the air out. Is this right?

Your terms are off a bit. The bead is the tire. It's the part of the tire that touches the rim of the wheel. You never remove the bead.

A bead lock wheel has a "ring" that sandwiches the bead between the wheel and that ring. On a wheel that is not a "true" bead lock, you can remove the ring because it isn't integral to holding the bead. It's a fake lock.

On the factory Sas wheel these are beauty rings. You have to buy the true bead lock separately. So yes you can take the ring off and paint it or whatever you like without deflating your tires.

The wheels on the starboard side are right. The wheels on the port side are left.
May the Ford be with you, always.

They are ”beadlock wheels” but they do not come with “beadlock rings” . So as delivered the tires can be mounted/unmounted) just like any wheel/tire (”beauty rings“ may need to be removed). But no you cannot remove the bead without letting the air out on any normal wheel/tire but yes loosening a “beadlock ring“ will let the air out...

I believe when ordering the term they used was beadlock capable wheels, you would still need the beadlock ring to lock the bead
