Bronco brand has announced some more important news related to roof options on the 2021 Bronco 2-door and 4-door models. Here is a quick summary:

• MODULAR PAINTED HARDTOP POSTPOSED UNTIL 2022
• DUAL TOPS MOVED TO 2022
• 2022 WHITE TOP WILL BE OFFERED ON A FEW TRIMS

HERE IS A BREAKDOWN FOR 2021 AND 2022:

SOFT TOP: 2021

• Standard top offering on all 4 doors except Wildtrak and First Edition
• Not available on 2 door
• Cloth, not vinyl fabric
• Unique cargo lift feature to more easily stow cargo in the rear
• Fully removable (tools included in tool kit)
• Video demonstrating functionality

MOLD IN COLOR (MIC): 2021

• Standard top on all 2 door Broncos, all Wildtraks and First Editions
• Name derived from the color being part of the exterior composite layer – not painted
• Fully removable (tools included in tool kit)
• 4 door has 4 pieces
  • 2 panels over first row
  • 1 mid panel over second row
  • 1 cap over cargo area
• 2 door has 3 pieces
  • 2 panels over first row
  • 1 cap over cargo area and second row
• Rear side glass is not removable

MODULAR PAINTED HARD TOP: 2022

• Pushed until ‘22
• Smooth painted exterior finish – black color only
• Fully removable (tools included in tool kit)
• 4 door has 6 pieces
  • 2 panels over first row
  • 1 mid panel over second row
  • 1 cap over cargo area
  • Removable rear side glass
• 2 door has 6 pieces
  • 2 panels over first row
  • 1 cap over cargo area and second row
  • 1 opening over second row
  • Removable rear side glass

DUAL TOP: 2022

• 4 door only
• Combined one of the hard tops (MIC or Modular) with the soft top shipped in the rear of the vehicle
• As an alternative, there are several soft top accessory options through the Ford Accessory catalog for customers who still want a dual top option

Bronco 2‑ and 4‑door reservation holders will be given the choice of taking the mold-in-color option when the order conversion process begins in December. Alternatively, reservation holders can choose to wait for the black-painted modular hard top when it comes available. In addition to the black painted finish, the modular top allows for the removal of the rear-quarter glass in Bronco 2- and 4-doors models and on 2-door models only, adds another panel to the rear cap.

Bronco brand has indicated that initial reservation time stamp will continue to be honored. We are not sure what this will do for those choosing to wait except to ensure your place in line.
