I started my road trip heading from Portland to the Bay Area. It was just over 600 miles and it took me 11 hours. The Bronco did great although at close to 80mph the mpg is… disconcerting.

But the seat is comfortable and the ACC makes it an easy drive. I’ll stayed there for a couple days (picked up my Inspired Overland RTT) and then heading out. I tried not to plan too much but my next stop was Johnson Valley and find the Bronco plaque. Then Nevada and then up to Sand Hollow. I met my brother in SLC and then headed to Moab. Then it was the East Coast and then back. Sounds simple when I put it that way.

I had an incredible time, definitely the trip of a lifetime. And I hope to do something like it again. In this lifetime.

What an awesome trip and more than a road trip with the off road adventures. I have done some multi state trips with off road adventures mixed in and I would love to do more. Thanks for posting.

There wasn't an unfavorite part of the trip.

Highlights were Bronco Knoll (my first challenging off-roading ever, I just got the Bronco in June). Sand Hollow because of the variety of terrain. Moab, do I need to say more? Colorado... again, does not need explanation. And so on.

In order to visit those amazing off-road locations it's pretty hard not to have a road trip component.
