Moab and beyond

Ever since first putting in my order for my Bronco I dreamt of taking it to Utah, a place I fell in love with going to school for geology, and finally got the chance this past month. Over the course of two weeks I drove to Moab from Houston, met my wife and kiddo for the labor day weekend, and then proceeded to continue on and explore Bear Ears National Monument and the Henry Mountains. I've learned I'm definitely liking more of the overlanding experiences. I can find plenty of amazing backroads and trails that offer amazing views and just enough pucker factor to be exciting, without the more technical rock crawling stuff. I think I'll need to continue to work up to that if at all. I highly recommend the drive over the Henry Mountains. Beautiful and remote, going from red rock desert up to dense forest and barren alpine peaks. They have a wild bison heard on the west flank roaming around you can potentially bump into, if you can believe it.
