Did ya hike to the mine. I ran into a couple guys that worked the mine, one was carrying a gas powered weed trimmer. I thought it odd to have that in the middle of the desert. They told me about the mine. They used it to clean the brush from around the entrance. They told me it was locked, but if I came back in a couple days they would be there and take me in. I didn't get back to do that, but did hike to the entrance. They also told me to be careful of a black snake that was as or more deadly then the diamond back. Never saw one.
