So glad I'm not ordering anytime soon

Reading all these different accounts of dealers all of a sudden trying to force people to put $1000 or more down to order. Dealers not getting enough allocation to fill upcoming orders. Late availability or delay causing options. Who knows what's next. I'd be so pissed and stressed out if I was ordering now. Makes me so glad I'm sitting back waiting for the dust to settle. On the plus side maybe during this waiting period there will be a confirmation of a Bronco based truck. Which I would buy in a second.

I agree it is stressful at times trying to figure everything out. I don’t have the same view as many when it comes to dealers asking for more payment to order, because I feel like anything $1k and under to put down is reasonable to ask for a $40-$50k SUV. Plus it allows me to know that I have more skin in the game so the dealer won’t flip it under me and sell my Bronco to someone else. The initial $100 doesn’t guarantee anything. I used to get really mad and stressed when I would hear more news of delays and other stuff going on but then I realized I really really want this SUV so I will deal with the set backs from the roll out. I was a day 1 reservation and have been waiting years for this so I just tell myself that it will come out when it comes out and nothing I can do to change that.

It’s a shaky start to this all as it’s a brand new release so you waiting it out will work out good for you. The dust will definitely settle after the first year and once Covid delays get all figured out it will mean faster production too. The MY22 and beyond will see some nice features added such as new colors, white tops, heritage package, Warthog, among other cool things I’m sure. The Bronco Truck will be really cool and I hope to purchase one if they come out with it in the near future. Only Issue with waiting for that is no set timeline on when you can expect to see it, maybe it will be 5 years from now or more.

So it’s an internal decision for you and everyone else whether you want the bronco ASAP or want to wait it out a little bit and are fine with another year or two wait in order to get exactly what you want. Sounds like you are fine waiting the extra time and that is great because you can reevaluate everything when it comes time for you to order. Plus by then there will be real world reviews from the Bronco owners so you can see what is good and what is not.
(P.s. I absolutely want them to build a bronco truck, that would be the perfect vehicle in my opinion as it can off road with doors and top off and also carry stuff in the bed when needed. That would make me sell all my vehicles to buy it lol)

It took me and the wife until this afternoon to finally decide we are going to wait for MY22. Ford is doing the best they can, but there have been a lot of hiccups that made us uneasy.
Found out today through a dealer communication in another post that if we choose to wait - We don’t lose our reservation time stamp. This made all the difference in the world to us.
Now we can ensure we get exactly what we want without odd compromises and it gives more time to finish the “bronco garage” vision we had. That’s a win-win-win in our book.
We waited this long - another year or less to get exactly what we want isn’t going to kill us.

More than I could do with an internal cargo area.

What is in this "Bronco Garage", aside from the missing vehicle obviously. I'm looking at kitting up my garage to hold this beast while I'm not roaming the country. My current vision is to make enough room for it to fit, PERIOD. But in the future I'd like some rigging or something to help with the roof storage and things... Just wondering what your ideas are.

You also want to make sure to switch to a dealer that has no mark-ups on MSRP. If you convert your reservation to a order before switching dealers you may get stuck paying a added dealer mark-up.

Trust me when I tell you that the idea rabbit hole you can go down gets ridiculous.

Some random thoughts:
Coating garage floor
Painting garage to include dedicated bronco spot by logo or other something or another.
Wall mounted Door hangers
Overhead Hard top lift
EB tailgate “bar top” w/Saddle seat bar stools
memorabilia including pics from official rollout, miscellaneous items from Bronco Nation, Ford, dealership where I will place order, design/drawings, reservation time stamp and communication from Ford and Bronco Nation, etc.
Might even throw in a Pineapple Pizza of sorts.

Always open to more ideas. At least I have time to work out the details now

Should be a law against pineapple on a pizza. The only thing that belongs on pizza is cheese.

I had a hour long discussion with the company lawyer about pineapple on pizza. Said there is no actual law against it at the federal level. States may have some though. Long story of how that came up for a work talk with the head of legal...

P.S. I’m all for pineapple on pizza

Looking forward to ordering my FE. Already comes loaded up so no stress on options. Already decided to go with late availability Black Hardtop and Black Interior. But don't mind the wait as it gives me a few more months to payoff the Jeep Rubicon. I might have to pickup a couple more bottles of Ole Smoky to pass the time. Lol.

Personally I don't have a big issue with an additional deposit within reason based on what other dealers may charge to custom order. When I was on the fence about the Bronco I went to look at BMW X7s. My wife wants a 3 row and we talked about holding off on the Bronco and getting a 3 row now. To custom order was a $1000 refundable deposit. What I would say is that I would get it in writing that the deposit is refundable for any order. Speaking from experience when I ordered my 5th wheel years ago. Unit came in and the layout had changed and the dealer didn't tell us until it came in. We were going to be full timing in it and it had to be the layout we were expecting. They told us we would lose our deposit if we walked away. We said nfw and eventually reached an agreement to have it changed at the manufacturer (which we had in writing). Anyway, dealer lied about the agreement. We ended up suing the dealer and two years later they finally settled, sent us one payment, bounced the second, and they filed for bankruptcy. Not saying your dealership would do the same thing, but get it in writing if you do decide to put down more money and that it's refundable.

Have to disagree with you, not just a little even. A cheese pizza, like a hamburger, you can call a beef patty on a bun with mayo a burger but you also call it a "plain" burger. to kick it up to that next level you add ingredients. Pineapple is one of those ingredients that is like adding onion, you put it with the right partners and its not just melted cheese on bread with some sauce. Dont get a "Hawaiian" from Dominos and think you can judge. Make a home made pie (even a Boboli crust works) with pineapple (add as much as you would onion), (real not pork roll) Canadian bacon (thin sliced) and Jalapeño slices fresh or pickled is fine.

aside from your questionable taste in food. I love your choice in vehicle!!! I would still ride with you as I watch you eat your very plain and boring pizza. :p
