So just like everyone else i got my recall letter saying shocks were avaliable so make an appointment. Made appointment for Thursday the 21st. Drove the Bronco to dealer it took 24 hours before they looked at it witch was them taking pictures of shocks and and having FoMoCo to ok the recall. So the dealer doesn't even have product in stock. Why have me bring it in and without rear shocks it's almost undrivable! Hitting the smallest bumps at over 50 Mph it throws you all over the place be careful when you loose both. Dealer calls me and says come pick it up after I told them it's unsafe to drive. Then service person says "OH we don't know when we are getting replacements in" WTF Ford why send out availability letters if there not avaliable. Your waisting people's time by doing this crap. Some of us work for a living. Get it together!!!

Such a load of BS. I just had the same thing happen on the rear camera recall. On the shock recall I am just hoping to get some kick back on the new suspension I had my dealership install for me. Something, anything?

Read that if the shocks are not leaking they put some type of hose clamp on + some sealant. This qualifies as a fix + they can sign off on the recall.Think I will wait till camera recall is issued[no problem so far ]+ decide on shocks. If they do "The Band Aid Fix"- if they leak down the road you are out of luck but since there is a recall you might be covered. Will decide in the near future on a course of action. What happened to "Quality Is Job #1".Maybe time for a class action lawsuit + contacting local media.Just thinking out loud! We are all trying to just have the vehicle we waited years to get + paid a high price to get.

Both of my canisters fell off. And I left it with them ant the dealer. They wanted me to drive it home. I told them they would be liable if I got into an accident because of it. They didn't care. It's still there till the fix. I'm just glad I have a second car.

"Quality is job #1" is from a bygone era and certainly hasn't been happening under Farley's watch.

Might be time to be sending mails to Corporate + Board Of Directors.I've bought many Fords + never have seen this kind of BS!!!! A Recall is for the life of the vehicle, thats why I don't plan on doing the "Band Aid Fix" as they are not leaking yet.

No service person said and I quote we will get you in and taken care of .Then sent me a text message saying that it would be our communication and would let me know when it would be done. There was no communication until 36 hours later when they told me to come pick up a busted unsafe vehicle.

Don't forget it's also the "Dealers" who realized they could make an extra 20k on the Broncos in 2022 because they could.

No, the Bronco is still there in there lot till it's done. I will not pick it up till it is actually fixed.

People don't have to like the fix, of course. I got two replacements since my reservoir fell off, and I know the fix sounds more gimmicky than legit on the surface.

However, for others going in, to avoid disappointment, please note that dealers will NOT have parts in stock. Parts are available from Ford, but they will not be stocked at your dealership. You will need the inspection appointment first so they can go through the pictures protocol, then they can order them.

My dealer was also unsure how long parts would take when I asked, since I was the first they had done. They only took a day to come in. I was expecting up to two weeks, and the whole ordeal was done by midday the fourth day. Stay in communication with your dealer; this is new to them and timing may change as more vehicles are brought in to get theirs done.

If shocks are not leaking can dealer do the fix when it is brought in for recall or do they need to order parts for that also?

The temp fix is pretty much a hose clamp and JB weld. Not a dealer so I don't know if they order new ones or not.

You won't need photos taken if your shocks pass, and unless your dealer has done a seed order of boots, you will need to wait until they order them.

Hi there. Will you send us a private message with your VIN and mileage? I’d like to look into things on my end.

Practical question: what sound, reasonable replacements are available that are anything BUT Bilstein products? Particularly for those who just want decent performance without having to perform routine adjustments or tweaking? I just want to drive my Bronco without having to worry about pieces falling off.

I don’t trust Bilstein. They literally fall apart.
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

I would look for a set of the Hoss 3.0 Fox take offs. I really like them quite a bit, and the ride is so nice.

@BuckYeah and others who don't want to go Bilstein: I've heard good reviews from Bronco owners who used https://accutuneoffroad.com/ to help them pick the best shocks for their setup. They specialize in Kings and Fox.

Shock Surplus covers more brands and has a lot of videos and materials comparing shocks for the Bronco, including a buyers' guide: https://www.shocksurplus.com/pages/2021-2022-ford-bronco-suspension-shock-guide. Both of these may be useful to people researching new options.

The 3.0 Fox shocks are amazing and many takeoffs out there. Fox and Ford spent allot of time for a great shock setup. unless you are going full race.
I'm running a set of fox with the 4 door springs on my 2 Door Badlands. For Colorado, Moab, Baja Mexico we love them.

Aftermarket Bilstein’s are a completely different animal from their OEM products.
