Staff Builds: Wildtrak

All this week, we’ll be bringing you our builds for each trim of the 2021 Ford Bronco. @David in the forums and @dwrock, your friendly Bronco Nation support and fulfillment associate, will each bring a build to the table with a different theme. We aren’t experts and this isn’t a list of recommendations, it’s just a couple Bronco fans dreaming up some rigs.

Today, we finish with the Wildtrack.

@David: Sandy Boi

Wildtrack is all about fun in the sun. Whether you’re speeding across the dunes or chilling on the beach, Sandy Boi is here for you. Maybe the leather seats aren’t a great idea with all this sand, maybe the tube doors don’t help either, regardless, a little extra time detailing your sweet looking rig will build character.

Race Red is a natural choice here and going 2-Door instead of 4-Door just felt right as well. Granted, the 4-Door wheelbase would probably be more stable at speed. Powertrain choices are limited here but I was planning on the 2.7L with 10-Speed Automatic anyways.

If I had to add more then I’d probably go for the Wildtrack graphics package for the extra flair and throw in the brush guard just in case any mean ol’ cacti felt like getting in my way.

@dwrock: Glamis, Here I Come

Here in Michigan we have plenty of Dunes to go rippin’ at. But the big one on the bucket list for me to visit is Glamis in California.

For this build I went for that open-air, wind in your hair deal. Cyber Orange, because, why not, and it might serve some sort of high vis safety function – Look at Me!!

I added all the options and accessories to make it a fun Dune rig – Door Bars, Mesh Bimini Top, Heavy Duty Front Bumper, Side Steps, Brush Guard, even Paint Protection (to help with sand pitting).

On the inside I made sure to add the Lux Package, which gives it the Bang and Olufson 10 Speaker System. That way I can blast AC/DC’s Thunderstruck as I fly past people in their Meyers Manx’s.

And of course, I went with the 2.7 Ecoboost and Sasquatch. Hopefully by the time I get to Glamis, some aftermarket tuning options become available, like Cobb. All of that brings this Bronco Wildtrak example to $1081 a month*. It might be a lot of cash, but it’ll be A LOT OF FUN!
