I’ve had this little trailer for a while. It’s homemade 4x8 1” (or 1.5”) angle frame w/ expanded metal bottom and wood sides. It’s well over 20yrs old. I recently replaced some rotting wood on the sides, re-wired the lights with double shielded wire, added a jack, and larger tires (265/70).

I built the frame on top from 1” box tube and HDPE. It’s made so that it can mount to the bed rack on my old truck, or the top of this trailer, as a platform for my tent. The rear portion hinges up for access underneath.

Tent is a C6 outdoors REV tent. For info on it you can google it & it will pull up their site. It only weighs 25lbs!!!!

Anyway. That’s about it for now. I’ll be able to load gear underneath. Sleep on top. If you’re interested in the video version of this I’ll post the link to YouTube once it’s uploaded.

When I say this is a budget build, I mean it. 😂 using scrap and pieces I’ve got laying around to make it function. And I’ve definitely gone with function over appearance. lol.

Latches to keep the back half of the platform in place are done. It’s literally just a block of wood I had laying by the trash, screwed down with an hole drilled in it for the pin. Which I also had laying around from an old project. And I re-used the clasps from the old tail gate on the new tailgate. I was still installing bolts when I took the picture so one is missing in the photo.
