So I’ve got a build date, now what??

4-6 weeks is a best guess. But I wouldn’t sell your car until the Bronco makes its way to the dealer. Unless you have backup plan in place.

I’ve been scheduled for a build date of 5/25/23. Wasn’t the most ideal build profile for me but my buddy at the dealer said it would get a date quickly and I was issued a build date exactly 1 week after the 3/27/23 build window opened. 23 Badlands with high package, soft top, tow package, leather interior. Only thing I really wanted extra was the hard top(I’ll buy one later) anyways the build date was recently pushed up to 5/23/23 and I’m trying to figure out what’s the typical build time and shipping time on these vehicles? I’ve seen number that vary from 4-6 weeks but I wanted to see what others have experienced, have to sell my current car.

Congrats on getting scheduled! As mentioned, it really is tough to predict when you might get it. It also makes a big difference on where you are located as it can take several weeks to ship by rail and less than a day when shipped via truck.

I guess the next question would be where are these things built? I guess that will determine method of shipment. I’m down in TN and have see broncos on trucks at most dealers in my neck of the woods.

They're built in Wayne, Michigan which is close to Detroit. Not sure if you would be rail or truck. Even those that get shipped via rail will get delivered to the dealership by car carrier. You are kind of in that middle ground. You will be able to tell how its coming when you can view your Window Sticker. It will say either rail or convoy.

Be kind to yourself . The Bronco will get there when it gets there. We have All been through it.

I got a build week email 2 weeks ago. Tracking confirmed an initial build date set and a VIN assigned.

Yesterday I get an email with a build week change. No surprise. I check tracking to confirm and it is no longer scheduled but rolled back to order confirmed. I still have a VIN.

Weird. I hope it's just a glitch in the tracking system today.

My Wildtrak order was put into the "in production" stage on March 8. Here we are in MAY and it hasn't moved to the "Built" stage! It says that it should only take a few days for the car to be built. I called the dealer and he tells me that on his end he can see that it actually has been built, but it's sitting in a lot at the factory. He tells me this typically means it's waiting for a chip. Grrrrrr. Anyone else had this experience recently with a car being stuck in production for that long? Did your car eventually move to the built stage? I can't tell if I should trust the dealer or not. Help!

Mine shows in production,with a window sticker for the last two weeks.Called ford and they say it's built.no confirmed email yet.Sure would like to see shipped.Even was able to add to my ford pass account.I assume it is sitting in the yard.

My build date has changed 6 times from 4/17/23 all the way to 7/10/23. Has anyone heard of a order with a build date and a VIN being canceled? I heard the problem is the white roof, now paint is a problem Ace hardware has lots of white paint.

All I can say is be patient. I know it's tough but we that started waiting back in 2020 after reserving our Broncos can tell you the build and delivery process can be a test of dedication and perseverance.

March 23 got the Ford email. Build of 05/01, actual build of 05/06. Web updated at 05/06 build date. Still waiting on ship date. According to the dealer it was assigned a transport company, waiting for a truck. Dealer said it should arrive around 05/15 or 05/16. Not here yet. Like the rest of the process, when it gets here it gets here.

Update; It's now 05/24 was told delivery moved to 05/26. Any bets!!

I missed the order bank in March and didn't actually place my order with the dealer until April 24, 2023. I received order confirmation email from ford 4/26. How long did it take everyone to receive their "in production" update from the time you received your order received email? I'm sure I'll be waiting a while since I ordered later. We ordered an Outer Banks, 4 door, with hard top and the Lux package so I'm sure this will play a factor as well. When I checked on my order earlier today with Ford their response was I'm scheduled for the next production week but I'm just curious when that will be. Is there anywhere online that has their new production weeks listed?

I was told by dealer my build started last week. A month ago my wife and I had kinda given up on it once we were told to change our order, we had the Lux and Sasquatch, or it would be canceled. Figured we did not want to change our order to something we didn’t want. We decided to just let are order go and see what happens. We didn’t need the vehicle, we wanted the vehicle. Obviously we couldn’t build a Sasquatch type package after the fact with a warranty for the $2300 credit from Ford. We now feel like we won the lottery. Ford sent us an email to congratulate us and tell us it was scheduled for production. We thought it was a scam email. I forwarded the email to our dealer who confirmed it was real. Build confirmed it stated last week. Dealer says they expect delivery first week of June. We are being patient. It will be here sooner or later.

Once it has a rail car, your dealer should be able to give you a car number and you can track progress…

The dealer may not be able to decipher the car number, but in the shipment info there may be a long number that ends with “TTGX123445” TTGX is auto transport, and the car number follows…. Then you can track it, though it is frustratingly slow…

PS- you might have to educate your dealer on this… mine couldn’t find the car number until I showed him what it looked like…

Checked this morning and my window sticker was available. Hope I loaded the window sticker correctly.

Same here, but ordered Badlands one week later…

I started this adventure on October 19, 2020 on August 10 2023 my Heritage Bronco was built and on August 15th it was shipped to Town and Country Ford in Alabama. So in a couple weeks Ill finally have my Bronco. For all the people still waiting keep the faith.
