Hoping someone can help here.. I am in a vicious loop between Ford and the Dealer. My original 2021 order was placed on Jan 22, 2021 and my 2023 OBX has been delivered to the dealer last week, but the dealer is saying my name is not in the Vincent system for the Private Offer. Ford is saying I'm only eligible for $250 2022 offer certificate, but they also say they can see my original 2021 reservation/order.. they say the Dealer can help me more, Dealer says they can't do anything if my name is not in Vincent system. Bronco is still sitting on dealer lot and I'm calling in to Ford one more time tomorrow and going to escalate up to the CEO if needed to get answers.. anyone else have experience with this rodeo???

Your dealer needs to contact their Inventory Manager, who in turn needs to contact the Contests and Incentives team. That's the team responsible for the private offers Ford is utilizing for Bronco.

Yes, I am having same issue except mine is a 22MY that is being delivered any day now. (It has been sitting at the railyard lot for 5 weeks now in same state an hour away from dealership but that is another story)

I called Bronco hotline half a dozen times in the last 6 weeks and I was told my PP certificate number and was told it would expire on 12/31/22 and I am an original res holder with no changes that would disqualify me for receiving PP.

I asked Ford reps what would happen if it isn’t delivered by end of month when it was early December (even though at that time I was confident would have before NYE) and 3 different Ford reps told me a new one would not be issued at year’s end automatically and that “final pricing is up to the dealer” and of course the. The dealer tells me it is basically up to Ford to honor the PP and they just go by whatever is in “Smart Vincent.”

So after all the finger pointing and circles on the phone and via email and chat I decided to walk into dealership and go straight to GM to try and figure it out. He assumed it would probably automatically roll over and a new one would be issued by Ford in the system after the 1st, but as of now that had not happened. I called Bronco hot line last Friday and Ford rep said that I have no certificate in the system anymore. Once again they said speak to the dealership.

The dealer found out they can apply for an extension if it is expired, and the GM said this is news to him as he has never done this before so apparently it is a change in the process overall unless the system is just very late with adjusting for the new year updates of issuing new ones to qualifying res holders?!

Following this as I am a day one reservation holder and mine PP expired in December 2022. Trying to be proactive in having this extended or renewed.

I will keep you guys posted on what my results are, but I can tell you calling in to Ford gets you nowhere, all they can/will do is tell you what the eligibility requirements are for the Private Offer. Beyond that the dealer has to do the work to call in and get any issues resolved. I have let my dealer know what Ford told me and that if they get this resolved I will be in Thursday morning to collect my Bronco.

Your dealer needs to contact their Inventory Manager, who in turn needs to contact the Contests and Incentives team. That's the team responsible for the private offers Ford is utilizing for Bronco.

My dealer is being very transparent with me, but they say they keep getting the runaround. They are aware of the process of acquiring the certificates, i.e. COVP confirmation, order window qualifications, etc. but they don't see the certificate anywhere in SmartVINCENT. They've been told to call a bunch of different numbers, and then finally got the email of the group supposedly specializing in Bronco customers, but I don't think they've received a response to their inquiry regarding my own Private Offer certificate

There is a communication breakdown and/or confusion over who is entitled to what in many cases. I wish it were as simple as looking at the charts, factoring in your order date, model, trim level, and COVP status, and pressing a key to generate a certificate, but it's obviously not that simple. Has ANYONE who recently taken delivery got their Private Offer certificates at the time of delivery?

Also curious about this. I know a few people at Bronco6G got their 2023 certificates but this was all prior to the new year.

I can tell you my dealer said they are missing a lot of certificates for their 2023 customers. I also know Tim Bartz (internet sales manager for a dealer in Kansas) also said he was missing certificates for many of his customers.

Sometimes it’s hard to know whether it’s the dealer’s fault or Ford’s fault (or both). But both my dealer and Tim do a great job, so I find it very unlikely that both of them are doing something incorrectly. So clearly there is some sort of breakdown internally at Ford. I just hope it’s receiving the proper attention at the appropriate management levels at Ford to resolve the issues.

But yes, unfortunately resolving these types of issues requires your dealer’s input. Ford’s customer service reps don’t have any ability to resolve this sort of issue.

I understand Ford's desire to avoid loss by withholding the private offers ("price protection") from customers. It could boost their profit margin. But in so doing, they run the risk of aggravating (if not outright infuriating) already battle-worn buyers who've waited a long time to take delivery. It's adding insult to injury. Bungling the price protection for long-haul buyers seems to be a terrible PR gaff. Who's responsible for this?

I ordered my four-door Wildtrak on February 14, 2022 and purchased it on December 31st. A couple of weeks before purchase I spoke with the Ford customer service line and was given an 11-digit certificate number to use for the purchase of a new Ford…unbeknownst to me it was $2K off an F-150. My dealer is a good friend of mine and is the General Manager of the dealership I ordered and purchased from…when I gave him the number he said that sounded like the right number he needed for the Bronco. However, when he put it into his system it didn’t work for the Bronco…he checked it against an F-150 and it worked. Bottom line: It didn’t work. He contacted his Ford sales representative and she indicated it was a nationwide problem. Apparently the certificates were supposed to auto-populate into customers orders and they just didn’t do that. I am confident my actual Bronco certificate number is on the way and I will be given a check for it from the dealership. For what it’s worth…@RagnarKon is speaking truth and it is an internal Ford problem. I will keep you all posted.

My sales manager informed me that it is taking 3-4 months to get the check from Ford.

As someone who has called the Bronco hotline/Ford Marketing over a dozen times since Thanksgiving I can say it is actually helpful in the sense:

1) They can give you updates on where your vehicle currently is after build date

2) They were able to give me my price protection certificate # in early December and were able to confirm it expired 12/31/22

3) Were the ones that informed me would not be renewing after the 31st and it was up to my dealer to honor the price and file an extension for the price protection once it expired

4) After explaining my situation on my most recent call with them a few days ago got a rep. that was willing to escalate my case and give me a case # (which in theory should get someone higher up to take a look at my situation and call me back from corporate)

I can say this is 4 more things than my dealer was willing to do for me, so I cut him out of the equation and now deal directly with the GM (who also knew less than the Ford customer service reps about the PP/private offer changes as of the start of January).

The GM assumed the certificates would roll over and a new one be created at start of new year and said reps probably just didn’t have access to that info when I told him 3 different reps all stated the same thing to me in December. Turns out they were right and he was wrong. Last week he emailed me and said I was right and he needs to file for an extension for the private offer as it didn’t automatically renew in 2023. He said this is a first, as he has never had to do this before so it’s a learning curve a d is learning how to do this via his contacts at Ford.

Bottom line is, you need to do all you can to push dealership to make it happen for you, but being informed from corporate perspective will help guide you along the way to ask the right questions and inform the dealer too, because they are all clueless now with these new changes.

I plan on calling the hotline again later this week to see if any private offers exist in the system yet before I go in to get my bronco because part of me thinks this could all be a glitch in the system that just requires an update and it could magically appear in Smart Vincent again any day now.

Bring all evidence you have with you when you go to buy as leverage- price protection document numbers from Ford, price protection certificate # if you got it from the hotline, Price Agreement from dealership, print out of email communication from dealership ( I have an out the door price email from dealer a few months ago after mine was built and got the bank check then too and have been sitting on it waiting for my Bronco to be delivered ever since)

Lastly, if you have all that and your dealer is trying to screw you over still, demand to speak to GM or owner of dealership and deal with them directly. If they won’t help you still, then you certainly should be raising hell and tell them you will be writing bad reviews on every online platform and telling the world you will never go back to that dealership and will do business elsewhere in the future, as most of us have been waiting two years now and they should be doing more for us, not less.

Good news! I took delivery of my '23 OBX this afternoon. The private offer certificate is in limbo but good thing I have known the salesman for decades and he looped in the GM of the dealership today and they all agree that I meet the criteria for the private offer and sent all the information in to their Ford Rep. The GM let them write up the deal like the private offer $$ was in there, did the financing, and I drove it away. They are expecting Ford to get them the proper certificate # by the end of the week and then they can finalize the deal on their end. 719 days since order placed and now I have it!

It may take some time to sort out, but as long as the dealer and GM are willing to do their part to make it happen Ford will make good on this in the end. It would be a very bad look for them to not comply when they clearly stated original reservation holders will be taken care of through 2023.

Any update on this? Dealer is playing dumb like this offer doesn’t exist for me. I’ve called Bronco hotline 6 times and each time they tell me I qualify. I relay that info to dealer and tell them who they need to call and they state they get nowhere.
