Ford Profits off of Destination Charges

Here is a fact I did not know, the destination charges have profit built into it. I guess this is not an uncommon practice but excuse my ignorance, I did not know. Now that I do know, I am not sure what to do with the information! Looks like Ford is being sued for it as a "Class Action", but my general experience on "Class Action" lawsuits is that they benefit the consumer very little and benefit the complaint legal team a whole lot. From "Car Complaints":

LOL It's business and as a business owner, you bet your A$$ I have profits built into everything I do. Hell, my contracts have "office fee" "safety fee" and "technology fee" as a few of the several fees I charge based on the job. Guess making a profit is now wrong for a business. LOL But you are correct, then consumers will not see much if anything from these and they take years to go through the process if they even make it to the end

We stack overhead and profit on everything as well. We are not a not-for-profit institution! And even non-profits take overhead. :D

Damn insurance rarely pays O&P but on retail 100% that's an additional line item but I don't classify it as fee
