Factory Installed Accessories

I've asked my dealer about getting some of the accessories ordered to be installed at the Factory as per what Ford has told us.. But the dealer keeps telling me that there are only a limited number of accessories available to order (Lugnuts?) that can be installed at the factory vs the 200+ that Ford keeps saying that can be installed in the shop outside the main factory floor...

Where's the disconnect here?

Any accessories that are on the Ford accessory website are DOI, My "Wheel Lock Kit" and the keypad is a DOI. Was going to remove the keypad option until he told me they install it so we can move it to the gas tank door instead of the driver door. I dont see the issue honestly, its all still getting installed and my guess is they have selected certain things that will keep the factory running smoothly and then ship out items that are easier to ship. Just my guess.

SO why is Ford even mentioning the mod shop where they install these accessories? Are they just blatantly lying in the video, where the modshop is actually the dealer?

As I said you obviously wouldn't want to ship out roof racks due to shipping to save money and it's specific to a certain model, that would be installed there. Whereas I can send lugnuts, keypad, smaller items out to a dealer for pennies on the dollar and they can be used on most all Fords if a client wants them. Plus not to mention getting all the employees that would be needed to keep it running efficiently. I don't see it as an issue if the factory installs it or my dealer does Ford installed it either way. Get it to me quicker
