Dear Ford, please help if you are listening?

Dear Ford,

We need your help.

We know you listen and respond at times on Bronco Nation.

My Raptor was supposed to be delivered last week. It wasn't. Please Ford if you are listening get us those plastic seat belt clips so we can experience all you have prepared for us with the Raptor off Rodeo and the awesome Bronco you have built for us. You must be frustrated as well.

The real frustration is no one knows anything. We are just left in limbo. Our dealer isn't sure what is happening. We are getting as much information from the internet as possible and this is what I have determined is going on. Broncos and Bronco Raptors are not shipping. Correct? If they are they will sit at the dealer until the recall is fixed. Correct? We are waiting on a plastic clip for the seat belts. Correct? As well some are saying this clip won't be ready until December. Correct?
December? It can't be so. This is the problem. No one knows anything.

All and all it seems we are left to try and figure out through the internet what is happening and take pieces of information from here and there and try to piece it together.

Any information from you dear Ford, would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: July 19th - I understand if you don't respond. There is an official company line which needs to be respected and that area is probably not something you have control over or want to comment on. I get it. All good. I don't want to put you in a tough spot. Thanks for listening and perhaps you could relay some of our concerns.

I waited 15 months for mine to be built and it was dreadful!!! I can’t imagine what it’s like knowing it’s built and just waiting for a small plastic clip for the seatbelts!!! Seriously, I have never struggled to get my seatbelt on in my Bronco…I am 5’ 5.5” not a tall person at all….
I do remember back when we were car shopping in 2013-14 that the GMC Acadia’s were on a stop sell, hold because of something under the seat that just needed a piece of duct tape!!!! Couldn’t even test drive them… Wth??? Deliver the Broncos, people have waited long enough for delivery on these things. Especially a Braptor!!!! Ugh, so sorry you are stuck in this situation!!

Thanks my friend. 15 months...wow..I appreciate your support. Yeah knowing it is just sitting there and no one knows anything. One way or another it will all work out. Just sitting with the tunes real loud. Thank God for a good stereo. It seems to be helping...haha. Hitting the harder music and hopefully working to the mellow...

Can't unfortunately. Federal regulations prevent it.

This is not a "do-not-drive" recall, so if Ford could have you sign a waiver and take delivery, I betcha they would. BUT, they can't.

No one has had an issue with reaching and grabbing the seatbelt in my Bronco. My wife and daughter are 5’3” lots of short people in the family. Complete BS

Yeah a little inconvenience is not going to stop me from wearing my seatbelt. My wife or I have never had an issue with the seatbelts on the Bronco. It can’t be any worse than my daily a 2008 cobalt 2 door those seatbelts are so far back there I have to pull the seatbelt over the seat before I get in. It’s pretty simple really.
@Roughstock11 hope they release your Braptor soon.

Also the folks that wear the seat belt but don’t use the shoulder portion. Basically just a lap belt at this point. Drives me nuts

Yes for sure. I know a lot of Ranchers, cowboys/cowgirls and they don't wear seatbelts. They drive around and never think of them. They put a latch in the buckle with no belt on it to stop any sensor. I always put my belt on with them and not once have they said why are you doing that or seem to mind in any way and I have never asked them why they don't wear belts. I just figure that is how they roll.

Thank you. In the end it is just a truck. I guess when you get your heart set on it you just have to forget it and move on. I was on edge waiting for the phone call since it was coming in. Oh well. Move on. Nothing to see here..haha

We live on a ranch (goats donkeys llamas) and have to go through three gates. I must admit I sometimes don’t wear the belt when I take out the garbage I don’t leave the property and never get more than 5 mph.

I went out with a buddy not long ago around his place. He had a new F250. It was dusty as hell. It had ranch stuff everywhere and I liked the feel of it. It kinda felt like that is how it was supposed to be.

@Jacob1972 Here's another friend with his dad. It is now his ranch. It is just down the road from us. We are on 20 acres - not a ranch. It is very nice - 48,000 acres. You see him here driving his dad and working on some vehicles. He puts a smile on your face when he takes you out in his cart. Really fast.. I am looking forward to bringing over the Raptor and letting him have a go and getting some more pointers/training. When I am back he is the first stop. I love this video. What a heritage. He will have a giggle if I have to tell him about the plastic paper clip we need for the recall. It really seems comical thinking about telling him. It's absurd.

Just put an edit on original post. I don't want to put any Ford representative under undo pressure. We all have enough of that. It is not fair to expect them to comment on this. Ford is a big machine and big machines have processes.
