My dealer failed to place my order for 200 days. Has anyone else seen this? Is it a strategy by the dealer, or just an error?
I placed my order on June 5, and the order didn’t appear on Ford.com until Dec 21, 200 days later.
It appears to me, the dealer is waiting for as long as possible to formally place my order, so they can sell off-the-lot Broncos for more, rather than my reservation at a fixed-price (MSRP).
Ford needs to get rid of dealers. Most don’t add value; they just add cost to the consumer. They prioritize selling overpriced service plans and service parts sooner than recommended in the corporate maintenance schedule. Dealers make Ford look terrible. I would be happy to buy directly from Ford.com and bypass the dealer; a similar experience as Rivian and Tesla.
How is your dealer? Do they add value above what Ford offers?
(Copies of receipt, confirmation email, and actual order date attached)
