Two weeks ago, eagle-eyed eligible Ford owners began noticing a special in-app message in their Ford App as Ford Motor Company started a soft launch of the news.
Tuesday marked the official announcement: Now through 2028, Ford and onX are collaborating to offer eligible Ford owners one year of complimentary access across the highest tier of all four onX apps* – onX Offroad, onX Fish, onX Hunt and onX Backcountry – which can be used seamlessly in-vehicle via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
Not an Off-Roader? No Problem!
onX services aren’t limited to off-road trails only. Nearly everyone who loves to get outside will benefit –– hunters, anglers, and hikers can find trail difficulty ratings, public and private land boundaries, free camping, and more throughout the U.S.
No matter which way you enjoy the outdoors in your Ford vehicle, there’s an app for you! If you already navigate the trails with onX Offroad Elite, try out one of the other apps onX offers to plan confidently and get home safely.
Use the App with Us
I’ve used onX Elite for a couple years now, and one aspect I love about the app is the training onX offers, from how-to articles to videos and webinars.
The app is intuitive, but it’s also packed with features that can continue making your adventures safer and better. Once you activate your membership, head over to the onX Masterclass Playlist to start digging in.
The videos cover basic to advanced instructions, and you can also find partner spotlights highlighting companies with parts and accessories you may already have on your vehicle, including FOX Factory, Rigid Industries, WARN Industries, and more.
Today, before the Bronco Stampede in Moab kicked off, Bronco Nation members headed out on the trails using onX Offroad to track routes and explore the app.
After, Ford and onX spent time with us at our member meetup, offering VIP support, exclusive swag, and other surprises.
