Since Ford brought back the Bronco in 2021, every single Bronco trim has come standard with the 10-speed automatic transmission or could be optioned with it. That trend continues for 2025: Any Bronco on Build & Price can have one.
The 7-speed manual doesn’t have quite the same claim, but Ford has not abandoned it, which is good news for those who like to row their own gears. Here are the four trims you can get with a manual in 2025.
2025 Broncos With the 7-Speed Manual
Out of the seven trims to choose from, the majority come standard with the Getrag manual transmission:
- Base
- Big Bend
- Heritage Edition
- Badlands
Outer Banks, the new Stroppe, and Bronco Raptor were introduced as automatics only, and for 2025, they remain so.
Pair the Manual Gearbox With …
As always, the 7-speed trans can only be paired with the 2.3L EcoBoost engine.
For enthusiasts that are happy with the 2.3L, want a manual transmission, and a 2-door Bronco for that closer-to-classic feel, the options drop. Only the late-availability Base and the Badlands fit this configuration –– Big Bend and Heritage are 4-doors only for 2025.
And for those who would prefer the 2.7L engine but prioritize the manual transmission, don’t forget you can raise the 2.3L’s output with the Ford Performance calibration. Bring your horsepower up to 330 and your torque to 385 lb-ft. You can get it in the Bronco Nation store for less with your member discount –– plus, through December 31, 2024, you can redeem FordPass Rewards Points for purchases in the store.
