Since January’s exterior reveal of the new 2027 Bronco RTR trim, we’ve been curious what the interior would look like. Surely, the signature Hyper Lime accents on the trail sights, beauty rings, graphics, and BRONCO lettering on the grille would be carried inside. Would it be a flash of highlighter ran across the elements, or would the cabin be aglow with radiant color –– bright seats, floor mats with insignias, more?
No Longer Hidden: A Full Picture of the Bronco RTR
Today, the veil has been lifted, and everyone can get a look inside.
The new high-speed racing trim, with reinforced steering and the Bronco Raptor’s 1,000-watt cooling fan, is meant to provide owners with the fun and capability of the king of the desert, but at a lower price point.
Now, you can see the trim has picked up another Raptor feature, seat belts in a hue other than basic black. But this time, instead of Code Orange, the safety restraints are done up in zesty neon, as are all the additional hits of the seat stitching, vent tabs, grab handles, and dash lettering.
“When I think about the cabin of Bronco RTR, I think about expression with purpose,” says Kellie Walters, Bronco Color and Materials Designer. “As an automotive color and materials designer, I always want the interior to tell the same story as the exterior, and in Bronco RTR that story is unmistakable.
“Bronco RTR has the most expressive interior in the Bronco lineup, built to reflect the energy, confidence, and Fun-Haver spirit that define RTR Vehicles and work so well with Bronco. We designed it hand-in-hand with the RTR team, just as we developed the off-road capability and anti-lag turbo technology to make high-performance off-roading as accessible as it is exciting.”
A Bronco RTR console badge replaces the standard “Designed & Engineered in Dearborn, MI, USA” hallmark, and the Infotainment display has been customized with splash clusters like the Mustang RTR received.
Embossed into the Black Onyx marine grade vinyl seats is the motorsports brand's logo, and topo patterns up the instant “that’s an RTR” recognition.
“Great design has to work hard,” says Walters. “Bronco RTR is well-equipped for the trail and for everyday life, with standard heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and Ford Co-Pilot 360 driver-assistance technology alongside its standard off-road content. For me, that balance is what makes the cabin so compelling: it is bold without being loud, functional without feeling ordinary, and expressive in a way that feels authentically Bronco.”
