The Rebelle Rally 2022, Oct. 6-15, has begun! The rally, in its 7th year, consists of 55 two-woman teams heading out across the desert to challenge each other in precision driving and navigation. The women started yesterday in Incline Village, Nevada, and they will end in the Imperial Sand Dunes in California.
There are two classes in Rebelle, the X-Cross and the 4x4. The X-Cross is for unibody vehicles with 2WD/AWD, and the 4x4 class is for 4WD vehicles with a two-speed transfer case.
The classes make this rally perfect for the Bronco family. The Bronco Sport can compete in the X-Cross, and the Bronco can run in the 4x4 class.
For the last two years, the Bronco Sport has placed 1st in the X-Cross, and we'd love to see Melissa Clark and Chris Benzie take home the vehicle's third win in their Badlands. The Bronco has not yet taken home a podium finish, and we'd like to see it happen this year. Shelby Hall and Penny Dale will be running in a Wildtrak with HOSS 3.0, and Kathryn Reinhardt and Victoria Bundrant will be in their 4WP-upfitted Bronco Badlands.
